Got to ride in these a fair bit as an 0311 in the Marines. It was always shockingly beautiful watching the earth beneath you. The crew chiefs always had impressive balance when these birds were rocking around. The coolest thing that happened was in a tilt rotor. The pilot told us “You guys ready for a little fun”? We were just kind of coasting then quickly he switched the position of the rotors and shot us up way high as fast as he could for a few seconds. I’ll never forget how that felt leaving my body behind.

Had the opportunity to ride in the back of a Chinook for an early morning ride across Wisconsin when I was in the National Guard. The sunrise out the back was amazing.

This may be one of the coolest adrenaline rushes, but please, don't feed TC's ego any longer... He's got enough of his own. No matter what, he'll never, beat JC. Just count the broken bones. (Initials may be known personalities).

I have actually been able to stand at the back of a c130 as we flew over my house and my horse pasture as we were returning to base from the DZ over 20 years ago since i was in the Air Force id love to be able to do this a few more times .
