One day, great events like this will be gone forever. Maybe it will be because it offended some group, or because of some perceived risk to something or someone. But the most tragic reason would be a lack of interest and support. If this type of nostalgic drag racing and car culture gets your pulse racing like it always does for me, then get off the side lines, grab the wife or buddy or both and attend one of these awesome nostalgic events! Not only will you be keeping a great American tradition alive, but you will also meet some great people and have a blast!

In my opinion that's what a henry J should look like!! Cant stand the jacked up front end old school gasser look! This care is lean, level, and straight, I love it! Awsome job!!!

I remember in the late 60's someone who lived close to where we did, I was a kid, owned three coupes. Two were more of a street rod and the other had more of a gasser look. All had license plates and were original coupe bodies. They always looked cool with that classic high boy front end look.

Sort of hard to believe that they tore out the parks building there in the background. I hope with the new one they do something for Bob and Eileen Daniels. My dad was very good friends with them and their son David and they have done a lot for the sport.

In the 1980s there was a convertible 40 or 41 willys that sat in front of a garage in bunivista Va. Only one I've ever seen or even heard about

Beautifully restored black 40s Willys !! My favorite has always been the Gates Speed Shop , Virgil Gates Blue car !! Best paint job of ANY WILLYS ! That’s saying a lot considering!! So awesome to know so many have survived! Greg owned a copper colored 33 with a injected ford cammer in it about 15 years ago , wonder what happened to it and Greg ? Thanks for your post!
