I love to see people interested with jazz. Good work practicing as well you're doing very well. I want to share a little knowledge I wish I knew when first started out(also some things my teachers have yelled at me about in the past😅). Singing or whistling a melody helps a lot when trying to play it more fluidly. It's also the way you want your tongue to move in your mouth when changing between high and low notes. You want your airstream to remain consistent not adding a lot of extra air and trying to use your lips to apply pressure to the mouthpiece in hopes of getting that higher note out. That's cheating!!!!! Your embouchure should remain the same and more pressure will just stop the buzzing of your lips, that's what's making the sound. The horn is just amplifying what you do with your lips. When playing higher you need to do the "eee" or "iiiii" motion like when you sing or whistle to a higher note. For moving to a lower note it's the "yaaaa" sound you get when descending. But the support of your air while playing should not fluctuate. Lastly think of blowing down into the cup to play higher notes and up into the cup when playing lower. Happy Practicing!!!😃

저도 처음 트럼펫을 시작했을 때 쳇베이커의 연주가 너무 좋아서 시작했지요. 그래서 "쳇베이커 곡 중에 딱 한 곡만 똑같이 따라할 수 있으면 좋겠다" 는 생각을 하며 직장생활 하면서 틈나는 대로 열심히 연습하였어요. 결국 그 한 곡을 완주하는데 성공하였지만, 역시나 트럼펫은 너무 어려워요. 왠지 옛날 저의 모습을 보는 것 같기도 하고 그렇네요. 취미로 하시는 것 이겠지만, 꼭 멋진 연주자가 되었으면 합니다.
