Henry's family owned this course for a long time, but it was sold for development. This was a cool experience to get to play with no body else around at all. Henry Grillo Golf: Insta: @henry.grillo Tiktok: @henry.grillo RUclips: www.youtube.com/@Henrygrillo

Can you just hit into the curtain or do you need the net?
@@johnsorensen5758 you definitely need at least the net. The curtain is just for looks, the net is what’s built to take the impact.
What a great setup! 👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thanks for posting this video. I'm not tight on space but was having a conundrum on how to properly set up my space for optimal utilization. The curtain track idea is great and will work great for my area. How do you like your mat? Is it easy on the body?
@@brocks2625 I love my mat, it’s held up perfectly and shows almost no sign of wear after a couple years of use. I spent a little extra so it’d take good care of my wrists and arms and it’s done a great job.
Dude, well done! I just added this set up to my 2 car garage earlier this week, and I'm loving it. I didn't opt for the black backdrop, but instead an impact screen for projection when the mood strikes me. (I Already owned a short throw projector) For those that are curious, the net that Alex recommended is quite substantial. I have average swing speed, and have no concerns about this net holding up for quite a while. Newly subscribed, so keep those DIY ideas coming!
Thats awesome!! Thrilled to hear that man and thanks for the validation on the net. I've had it for almost two years and it feels solid as day one.
@@JamonLomax how did you set your impact screen with this combo? Would like to possibly add that feature to this curtain type setup in the future.
@@AndrewLovell-z8i I'll start by saying that this won't please everyone. This is "good enough" to get it done. I hang the impact screen from the same hooks that hold the net. What I do is I add a couple of bungees to each top corner which is anchored to small hooks in the ceiling in order to keep the screen stretched at the top, while allowing the bottom to float. I have 2 very short bungees that are about 4 inches long attaching the screen to the net on each side for maximum width. Note: I have the 10 x 10 net which allows about a foot of excess netting on the floor. The impact screen is 10 x 8. I weigh the net down on the floor in each corner as well. This gives me a nice image to work with, and I can put it up in 5min when I feel like playing a simulated course. Hope that makes sense.
Single-handedly the greatest hitting that I’ve ever seen well done
Thanks!!
How did you connect the black back drop cloth to the hooks? from the Amazon link, it looks like it as a sleeve for a pole only.
I just poked holes in it over the hooks... a little tedious but I wasn't about to put on grommets. Maybe you could do safety pins but that also seemed like extra effort that wouldn't make a huge difference.
nice job. I have a similar set up but I used aluminum hospital curtain rails and a 30' net. way more expensive but it worked out well. still not 100% happy with it because I want to have an impact screen to project the simulator on. if you figure out a way to integrate a screen into the design please post it.
I think I'm going to use a 30' net as well. What did you use and where did you get the metal tracking as well?
Add the Square golf LM for $630. 😊
Smart set up!
Thanks!!
what about hitting wedges? do they not hit the ceiling?
not even close to hitting the ceiling! The only way that'd happen is if you're actually practicing flop shots or you tee your driver too high. never once hit the ceiling in a couple years with the setup hitting from 7-9 feet from the net with lob wedge.
How easy would it be to add an impact screen to this setup?
I'd assume not too hard. the rail is great, you'd just be squishing the screen down and it might wrinkle or something. i just use my laptop so I don't worry about the projector.
How much distance did you have between the net and the wall behind the net where it’s actually taking the impact rather than the side?
about 3.5ft!
Thank you Alex!
Absolutely thanks for the support!
Have all the pieces to do this in my garage, thanks for the inspiration. Excited to get it set up. Going to be pairing it with the Square Golf Launch Monitor, thoughts on it? Also, have you seen any setups like this incorporating some type of screen if you wanted to add a projector later on??
@@AndrewLovell-z8i nice man!! I am unfamiliar I’ll need to do some research! Good luck dude you got this!
Love it dude 🔥🔥 so sickkkkk
high praise from the man himself. thanks dude!!
@@alexwilsongolf love the content 🔥👌🏽
Thanks Alex. Appreciate the video.
Thank you!! Appreciate you watching it!
How much does this cost?
109 for the net, 40 for the track and 350 for the mat. Bonus item with the screen at like 50ish bucks
Are links still in the bio?
How tall are your ceilings in there?
9'
im peanutbutter and jellous
How far from a wall do you that impact net would have to be to make sure you don’t damage a wall behind it?
N
I always safety chunk it's the smart play 😂
What actually launch monitor is it
What is the brand of ceiling curtain thing
Just found this, well done mate, that is by far the best set up I've seen, will definitely use your idea, and I subscribed as well, just in case you have anymore brain busting ideas, cheers from the land down under
Can you dm the link? Thanks man
Wow man I have been considering lots of different set ups for my garage that are minimal and cost-effective, this is by far the best solution I have seen, thank you for the idea!!
I’m looking into getting the sky track is it worth it
What’s the Mat you use for the golf balls falling on the ground? I would love to know how you’d set this kind of thing up outside without a ceiling but still easy to put up and take down
Amazing! This is exactly what I have in mind for my garage. Nearly the same specs. Have you considered getting an impact screen and turning it into a projector based simulator?
Whi has ceilings high enough in US to be able to make a full swing?? I wish I had that space
What is your ceiling height? Or the lowest this could be done on?
Repent before it’s to late Jesus loves you
That's awesome. Instead of making her go back to bed she gets Dad time!! 😊 Cool set up
Ever make the full video? Would sub if you did 👀
Can you send me the links to the materials? I love the idea and plan on making one in our garage
Bro no one can find your links can you reply
@@VRSTLPerformance sorry don’t check this page often 🤦♂️ check my instagram or TikTok and it’s linked in my bio.
Hey Alex, how tall are you & what is your garage ceiling height? I'm considering doing something similar. Thanks!
Best home setup I’ve seen on RUclips
What distance you hitting at into your net? Also how much give do feel the net moves back on full shots? I have my net almost 3 foot out from a wall and hoping that enough space. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Did the 3 feet work? Can it be closer? About to do the same thing and I want to hit all of my clubs into this.
What style golf pants are these?
Wow this is a great practical setup!
Any suggestion for getting the curtain track to hold (and not break)? The impact is causing the clips to explode. The hooks hold but the plastic part breaks even with a wedge or 9 iron.
P R O M O S M 💔
Link don’t work when I click it?
Do the clips hold up to driver? It hasn’t pulled the net down?
Does this net setup hold up to driver swings?
Do you hit driver on this setup?
