Fact 16: An official poll conducted by the Nebraskan Nationalist Association found Nebraska to be the number one best state in the United States.

More amazing facts. Longest, largest, and oldest organized bike tour, RAGBRAI, calls Iowa home. Northeast Iowa has a driftless region that was missed by the glaciers in the last Ice Age. The Des Moines glacier was the namesake for the furthest point south that glacier reached. At one point, Iowa had the highest literacy of all states, not sure that's true anymore. Iowa is also #1 in hog production of all states.
mlb game was not on original field. it was on a new larger field by it. i once played on original field in the 90s. ive skied at sundown in dubuque and been to hoover musem in west branch.
I took my boys to see the movie when it was in Dubuque in 1989 and then drove to Dyersville and played on the field. It was kind of a rainy day and we were the only ones there when Don Lansing came out to say hello. What a cool day that was.
I'm sad that the Grotto of the Redemption is not listed. Otherwise, wow my state is really boring.
