How difficult it is in HKU regarding studies for international students? Is it worth to study in HKU. How much do you rate out of 10?
I wasn’t an international student in hku but in general i think it depends on which program you study, mine was pretty challenging to me but I think it’s definitely worth it to study in hku, maybe like a 8/10?

@capybarawong it is more than 6 contact hours per week, I’d say ard 10 hours~ there aren’t many assignments in the physio course for now (not sure about year 2/3) but we do have quizzes from time to time. Presentations and group projects are not really in the core courses like anatomy and physio (for now) but in other classes. Don’t worry about assignments too much you will be fine😉
@@charmainewong23 thx for your information! What about learning materials. Do you need to buy textbook (soft/hard copy) and what kind of materials will the lecturer/professor provide? power point? I'm just very curious cuz all of my friends studying in HK have started their uni life and I have to wait until next year 😭 and unfortunately I really have zero knowledge about university life ☠️☠️
No worries! Yes you will need textbook but u can buy it next year. For learning materials, we usually have PowerPoint slides for lectures, online modules and practical notes~

Hmm I would say it does take some time to get used to the transition from high school to uni in terms of the teaching style and learning environment 🤓 so just try to enjoy the process of meeting new people and gaining new experience:) (plus everyone is really nice here haha)
