I think this is something which has a clear solution but would never be solved because not everyone is on the same page. Women are subject to objectification in general (Not that men aren't but yk). And there is a portion of women who tend to milk this factor. "Only fans" and some of the "Twitch" streams being best example. Every female CC and even Vtubers are asked the same question "Do you have an OF". Also can't blame the player blame the game. Everyone needs money. Then again men with unsatiable "virtual" sex needs are the fodder for all this. And I don't think thats gonna only increase. Apart from all this an Average looking girl gamer/tuber would have better chance of making it big in this space *provided* they overcome all the "other hurdles" they have in this path.

They’ve been treated unfairly, and I wished that could change. But it’s the internet, so im not suprised, it’s actually soo messed up. I think there’s should be more awareness and teach some young boys on this topic. People just don’t view them as humans anymore, that goes same for any creators. no matter the gender. But female was in the eyes of male a s*xual gaze, and not a human. and it’s absolutely expected. But it just sucks seeing this happening you know? and the worst part is they’re famous, and highly more targeted on this. What I tend to see that alot of women really act as the expectations, and not as themselves. Women do all of the stuff he referenced at the start of the video. Being a woman is irrelevant to your ability to do those things. This may seem obvious, but I don't assume common sense in people anymore. So it's good for someone doing a deeper dive into what are the things preventing women from entering a market they are perfectly capable of contributing to.

Stop victimising them based on nothing, just because few people keep asking if you have a of doesn’t mean they are getting force into it, or there is the expectation being placed on them they simply do it of their own will I have seen other videos where they try to unnecessary victimise them for it ,It’s ridiculous, and there was a experiment where they introduced currency to monkeys, and after a while female monkeys started doing provocative things to gain that currency, so it’s not that deep . stop over intellectualising a very simple and obvious thing . They sell is their pride for money ,That’s it. And the “make up “thing saying that there is unnecessary pressure because everyone is doing it, and it will result in less views. That’s not really a pressure you can choose to not wear make up and gain views through your personality. The views you will lose due to not wearing makeup were not there for content anyway, and you didn’t talk about the advantage that female content creators have over male content creators they have a easier time gaining male views or subscribers because of their gender regardless of if they choose to wear, make up for sexualise themselves or even show their face, just their voice is enough, that’s why many creators fake being female ,if you don’t wear makeup it even out the disadvantage that male content creator have to at least some extent and you can be funny without being a eagy

Great video!!! I'm surprised you don't even have 1k subs. I hope you make more interesting discussion videos like this. Attraction is a part of it but I've never heard anyone else talk about it; it's all about social status. How highly you view them, and the simple fact that people prefer to know attractive people, since being around attractive people will bring attractive people to you. I believe it subconsciously applies to the videos and streamers we watch. Of course, everything you said about women's experience online is spot-on. It's unfortunate that gaming has always been seen as a "male space" that women are "invading" when gaming has been MY space since I was old enough to hold a controller. I mostly stream, and the parasocial viewers lately have been a nightmare to deal with. And yeah... I'm not a lover of make-up, so when I want to stream but don't want to spend a bunch of time meticulously drawing on my face to appease an audience, I either don't stream (feels bad, is bad) or use a PNGtube thing, but know I'll have fewer viewers since having no webcam is worse for gaming viewership. I know men have their fair share of problems, too, like I assume it's harder to start from scratch as a man since you have to try harder to stand out. Women stand out regardless, for better or worse.

To add another relatively known example of (mostly) men sexualizing an innocent female content creator, there are way too many weirdos sexualizing Jaiden Animations' cartoon character model, drawing NSFW fanart of her. It's so disturbing. Her content is generally kid-safe, and even she can't escape this. Those people are genuinely disgusting and make it really difficult to find nice fanart.

Twitch definitely is a sexist platform. My little brother constantly complains that anytime he watches a female streamer do anything, be it Rocket League, chess, or reactions, he then gets recommended NSFW women

The thing is majority of these creators are literal tourist who didn't grow up being nerdy and at one point probably mocked some poor nerd. But now that being "nerdy" is in. all these people have flocked into gaming and ruined it. Take a look back at the early days of xbox and playstation. we still had women in the spaces. but they actually knew what the industry was and weren't trying to change it as they knew they were in the minority. Take a look at the internet and culture today. it's all sanitized thanks to the same idiots who couldn't mute/block people online. You don't know how good we had it.

You buried the lead man, the core issue is that the dynamic between women and men that is coded into our biology underpins how women create content online. The way men engage with women whether they feed into it or not is going to have aspects of attraction and desirability. I don't think it will ever be possible to separate these things from how men online engage with women, same as how it is in real life. The best actions that can be made is on a platform level, blocking and banning dudes is likely the best approach. Just like if a guy is scrawny, overweight, effeminate, poor, ignorant, well bred etc. there are a list of factors that will impact how women are perceived and engaged with online. It's the same for both sexes, the way it's expressed with women is particular because male sexuality expresses in particular ways. You get teenage girls fawning over certain men just as you get teenage boys sexualising and lusting after certain girls. It would be nice if they didn't have to put up with it but that would require rewiring biology.
