Rented Frankie for our honeymoon a few years back and are now coming up on 4 years of owning our own Westy. Awesome experience!
Does it come with the stove, refer and sink?
Nice video. Any link where to buy the oil filter online?
Super! Thanks! 👍
You got a cool van! Ken and I Jen have a 1980 VW westfalia pop up camper van we are restoring! We cant wait to take it with us camping @ the Drive in! Right now its like a cream color on the pop up and body is a burnt orange terracotta color~ Ken wants to paint it like the color of the foam on root beer soda, cause our seats are a milk chocolate brown! Safe fun magical journeys with love and peace ya all! Jen and Ken
Good video. My favorite part is the Great Pyrenees
Thanks! Milly Grace is quite the shop dog
When lifting the roof do it with the door open or it will be impossible to do when dropping the top do it with the door open or it may blow the windows out ………you are moving a lot of air about and air pressure can do damage
Very cool video
What fridge is that?
In which year was it built?
👍
Do you guys sell the hinges and the material for the upstairs bunk?
I hat a short and concise video. Going to share on Facebook now
My favorite vehicle!!! 🤩
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COULD MEAN MANY THINGS, WORST CASE SCENERIO, CATALYTIC CONVERTOR, TIMING CHAIN,!!! SMALLER THINGS COULD BE OXYGEN SENSOR OR SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS THE GAS CAP IS LOOSE OR DEFECTIVE,
Nice!
Where did you purchase the rear storage?
Did you find out where the rear storage was purchased? Thanks, Giovanna
Great video. What year is this Eurovan?
I'm looking'm at 2002 Eurovan MV that has a poptop. Does that mean it is a MV Weekender or is it just an MV?
MV- stands for MiniVan. Nothing else. Weekender has no build in kitchen and lockers, but have wider seat/bed.
@@alexivanov7567 Hi from California! I love your video. Thanks for the information! I have an 02 VW Weekender….I don’t know how to open the under seat refrigerator. Can you help, please?
MV actually stands for "Midi Van" Volkswagen wanted to tout it as a larger mid-size version
I’m buying one and getting rid of my apartment wtf this the best van
Nice! who did the conversion for you guys and how much is it? thx
How much does a conversion like this cost?
$30k or so.
Love it! Do you sell them or do 'Van Builds'? I'll find the website. 😊
Colorado Camper Van in loveland colorado did this build for us. great company.
Can you do solar on top of the pop up?
Where can I found a stove top sink combo like in the video?
2:25 "Okay, so the first thing you need to do to raise the roof..." Is put on some jams!
Nice but why? wount it be easyer just to buy an sprinter van that has more head room and paint it too look like and work truck
If that's the look and stealth-type urban camper you're going for then yes, I assume it would be easier. We aren't concerned with stealth camping though and wanted to create a camper for our rental business that seated and slept five people. We also enjoy the lower-profile roofline (and so does the gas mileage, for that matter) that the custom poptop gives. For our purposes, this is the perfect conversion and our renters tend to agree. Thanks for the comment.
@@rockymountaincampervans3027 after some thing it would be easyer to just buy an Old Fex truck or ups truck and leave the paint job on it . Every one loves to recive an package in the mail . So why dont you make an camper out of one . Just dont cut any windows of it .
We're not really in it to do the "easy thing", @@MyIronman8. We're out to make and rent amazing campers that not everyone can do. Your ideas are great for someone looking to make their own camper for less money and we know of plenty of stealth campers done that way. That's just not out business model. We also don't think our renters would want to drive around in an old FedEx truck with the logos still on it and provide those companies with the free advertising ;)
Love it! How much?
Our rental rates for 2019 are available on our website. You can also build a custom quote. www.rockymountaincampervans.com/rates-rental-info/rates/

I wanna see how much
Thank you, finally somebody explaining how to use stuff 💗
The placement for the propane heater exhaust is not in the best place - if you'll open the kitchen side windows you can suck the exhaust fumes into the cabin.
Thankfully there's a few feet there for the exhaust to dissipate and I've never noticed the smell coming into the van at all. There's also a maxxair fan up top that helps move fresh air through the van when needed. Thanks for commenting!
how much for the week? or per day?
Our rates depend on the season. Check out our website, www.rockymountaincampervans.com for more information and to build a quote or make a booking :)
@@rockymountaincampervans3027 prices aren't bad may seee in the future
This is nice, but the toilet looks like it's only accessed from the outside? That seems problematic for bad weather or nighttimes. Also a chest fridge would be more efficient and more practical. Icould see a sleeper (especially kids) up top leaning into the tent sides as they slept, putting pressure on the frame and fabric sides. I like the stealth factor on this rig, and the low ceiling for better gas mileage on the hwy. As a single adult though, not so sold on the top bunk.. Maybe it could be used as a dog bed at night? Not sure if that would work for anything other than just standing room when parked.
toilet can be accessed from the inside with some shuffling. we didn't really intend for renters to always be using this toilet though, most camp at sites with toilets anyway. chest fridges are nice, but they can also take up a bit of room when slid out -- also, not sure if it's more efficient, that norcold we have is amazingly efficient as is. the bed up top is wide enough that people don't seem to lean into the tent up top, but even if they did it's rather robust and wouldn't be too big of a problem (I've slept up top with my twin boys and we did just fine). Top bed is also the intended 'master suite' for adults and lower bed is where we figured the kids would go in these rentals. Definitely not the right conversion for everyone, but it's been a home run with our renters over the last few years for sure. thanks for the comment!
nice thorough walkthrough! just the water inlet better be locked for safety reason?
