Thank you for sharing your point of view it is always welcome and heard here. Especially when you come so kindly without personal attacks. As i mentioned in my video, I am Ukrainian and Russian. While I was born in America and do see that is a privilege, I also do relate and respect my culture of course. And probably because we come from different backgrounds we will probably see this nuanced topic very differently but that’s ok. I find it exciting that so many people here and around the world now see this as a beautiful way to dress. Why would an African aesthetic be bad? That’s so beautiful too. Why couldn’t we hold space for an African creator who wanted to share that perspective? I also cannot feel bad about what other people can or cannot afford. That’s none of my business. You will notice that throughout my video i encourage people to thrift this look or to buy from authentic designers. I found a few authentic (to the best of my knowledge) designers at many price ranges and they are the only ones i actually linked. But i talked about more mainstream stores as well because i want everyone to feel included. This is how I choose to share and express my experience as a Slavic woman and we can just agree to disagree on this.

As a slavic girl, it's really not that big of a deal. People know that's not what majority of slavic people dress like. It's just a cute trend which happens to remind people of fashion in some slavic countries. Also, ofc fashion is a rich people thing, people surely won't cosplay the homeless.

GIRL I’m sorry but do you realize this key board warrior here didn’t even watch your video? They don’t care about your opinion or the fact that you’re Eastern European or whatever and therefore can speak and make a video on your culture. They only want to silence your voice because to them theirs is all that matters. They want the attention. Clearly he couldn’t even take the time to watch your video or any other of the videos on your channel but had the time to make that completely immature comment. Your response was way too nice you don’t have to “hold space” for cowards like this that can’t even say it with their face to you and hide behind some anime picture.

@Jjay019 thanks for the comment! appreciate the love & support you always show my channel! i will agree with you on one of your statements, i agree that i do not think that she watched my video or any of my other videos before offering an opinion because i of course have the right to speak on my own culture and i have an entire video on how problematic the aesthetification of everything is. unfortunately that is just the sad reality of being on the internet, people just rush to judgment without research. i choose to put myself out there so i will take it, but i don’t think they were necessarily trying to “silence my voice” idk? at the end of the day it isn’t a big deal at all. i make cutesy escapism fashion videos. there are bigger issues in the world.
