    Can just use some painters tape over the socket opening and it keeps the nut snug as a bug in the socket. No need to make a mess with the grease

    Whats the diference between that yellow bottle amd the purple bottle 3m .. yellow bottle its cheaper i ve been using the purple one maybe switch to the yellow bottle?

    • @roddtoddsgarage8516
      @roddtoddsgarage8516 4 месяца назад

      The yellow has more grit, it cuts more. Purple is less grit to polish.

    My car has similar scratches on the hood done by a someone with a sticks broom. A few of them kinda feel on the finger nail, but only ever so slightly. When I spray water on them they completely disappear. Is it ok if I try first with 3000 wet sandpaper? Or should I start a bit lower? Also, for compound, should I take a more abrazive one put on a wool pad or a orange buffer?

    • @mohammedtahir8895

    I wouldn't LS it and drop it 2". Everyone and their brother has done that already. Redo the seam sealer, especially on the drip rail. The only modification I would make is an electronic ignition and maybe front disk brakes. Replace all of the rubber seals, gaskets and bushings including the cab mounts. Best to yank the cab and thoroughly clean everything, while treating for rust. That's what I'm doing to my '68.

    • @timgibson2070
      @timgibson2070 7 месяцев назад

      I agree I wouldn't drop it 2"s...... I'd drop it 6" lol or better yet bag it. And everybody does it because it makes them look killer and ride way better.

    PSA, DO NOT FOLLOW THIS VIDEO. Do the opposite. Start with the higher grit first to do less damage and see how it pulls the scratch. Then work down from there. For the love of god dont start with 1500 and go up. You are putting sanding marks into the paint most likely deeper than the scratch was, and now you have to keep sanding to get those out. DO NOT DO THIS. And Always use a rubber block or something that gives a little but will keep a nice flat surface to wrap the sand paper around. And also DO NOT USE soapy water. The suds look just like the slime of the clear coming off and obscures what you are doing and how well its working. This hamfisted method is for cars you dont care about with Maaco paint jobs. This is the WORST wet sanding video i've seen and I have been wet sanding and detailing cars for 25 years. You've been warned.

      In the rust belt, the door handles tend to stick. You have to pull the handle, clean and grease the steel guide rod and replace.

      Depends on the depth of the scratch Sir. You could start with 1000 for a deeper scratch or 1500 for a lighter one, then work your way up to 2000, 2500, and 3000.
