No. The 2 u12 hit way harder. 148db with 2 12s vs 141 with one 12 on the same power. Plus better design box play a role in it too

Yeah. It the one for the x12 and up. Yeah it hit hard and is built very well. Be warned tho it heavy as hell.

I hope not. But I always check the car, tho. Plus, I cover it up every day with a waterproof car cover.

Yeah I got 2 agm batteries now since I'm running a 5k taramp amp on 2 u12

5 cube. Aero port tuned to 32hz. 34 wide 25 deep 16 tall. Box was built for 2 sundown x12, but the u12 love the box, too. Note. Port is on the side of the box, not in the front. Sub in the front, port on the driver or passenger side. I gained 5+db with this box. I'm now at 146.4db and still tuning the amp

The u12v1 are cheaper. I paid 700. (Taxes got me.) It was 600 something for them on Amazon. I wanted to get the u12v2, but it was gonna cost me 800 plus to get them from d4s. So it on you. But they both good tho. Just come down to price and power.

I have your same car so you understand that we don't have much space I only wanted 1 sundown and a box for the subwoofer but right now I would like 2 sundown 1750rms! @brayanpalacios9808 outside of the extra 200 watts and price, I don't know. But the u12 can be used in a smaller box, tho. I have mine in 5 cube boxes with the port on the driver side. It all in the box, tho. Have a really good box built just for your car. The x12 will kill the low while the u12 will kill the highs. The x12 is heavy. It 80 pounds. The u12 is way lighter. One x12 needs a 2.5 cube box. 2 x12 will need 5 cubes. The u12 can be used in a smaller box. But I think you will like the u12. Both can take the same amount of power.

I saw a few ppl run the u12, and I was impressed by what I saw. I wanted a sub that can play high notes as well. The x12 don't like anything over 40hz. I let my friend use them until he get his new sub. The new box I have was built for the x12, but since he has them, I switched up and got the u12 cause there was a sound off competition I wanted to enter. The u12 sound really good. I haven't played them in the 20hz to 29hz zone yet, but I don't think I need to. My new box is a side port tuned to 32hz, but the u12 love 35. They are extremely violent and have given me good results. Both are good sub. It just the x12 are built for the low. 35hz on down to 20hz. The u12 are built for the high. 30 to 50hz. The x12 get smelly and hot on high notes, too.

I won the sound off competition this past weekend. Came in 1st in the 5k class, 2nd in the bass war class, 3rd in the 10k class, and 4th in the king Kong class. Gotta switch to lithium soon cause the agm batteries aren't holding up like I need them too. But the u12 did good. Very good

I had 3 sundown x12. Now I got 2 sundown u12v1. Ok, the x12 are good for the lows. 35hz on down to 20hz, and they will kill it on decaf music. But here the catch. They don't like high notes or anything pass 40hz. They get really smelly and hot. Plus, they don't sound good sometimes on regular music cause it recorded with high notes. Badass sub, tho. I love them, but with all thing in life it a trade-off. The u12. I really love these sub. They cost less than the x12 and can play high and low notes. I only had this setup for 3 weeks now, and the sub is still breaking in, but so far, they are doing good. The u12 have a punch sound to them. Kinda hard to explain, but if you sit in my car, it is like having a kid kicking the back seat. It doesn't have that booming sound like the x12 it more or a punch sound. With the right box, they will do damage. My box is tuned to 32hz, but I play them at 35hz, and it violent as hell. I haven't played them below 30hz yet, but to me it no point. 35hz it making everything in the car flex I never had a z, so idk how they sound. But get a u12 and a 5 cube custom box made. You will love them. It is all in the box. But u12 all day bro

Or if you like to play regular music you can tuned your port high. Either way the u12 gonna love it

I mess around and blew it. Gotta get a recone. It didn't like the high notes. But it didn't blow like you think. The coil let loose. No matter got a new box on the way. Gonna have a brand new setup soon

Now I got the D4s ofc big 3 upgrade under the hood and all 0 gauge ofc wire from front to back back. The back battery for now is an agm. Gonna upgrade to lithium soon

@BrokeSim lithium retro 56. I had a retro 30 but I let my friend used it in his car cause he already had 1 in his car but need more power. Then he let me hold his old box that I'm testing now, so I just traded him the battery for the box. The nsv4 12 is loud and windy, but I like the sound of the x12 better. I might get the xv4 that coming out soon. I also got 2 avatar 12 I gotta test out too so we see

@BrokeSim I let my friend use my other 2 x12 the 4ohm verson. He has a taramp 5k amp on the with the 2 retro 30. They sound good in his car. He is doing 145 average, and his max is 146 at 30hz. For rebass music, yeah, the x12 will kill it. From 20hz to 35hz, they love the lows. But they don't like anything over 40hz. To be honest, they don't like anything over 35hz. That is why I keep changing speakers every week. I'm trying to find out what work and what doesn't. Like the nsv4 12. That a badass sub, but I got the spl version. It plays 30hz to 35hz all day but falls off in the 20 to 40hz range. Could be the box, tho. I might get a u12 and test out soon. I'm trying to have highs and low bass

Box turned to 34 to 35hz. Everything is the same. Box gave me a huge gain. Highest score 140.9. Still tuning, voltage is getting better, still dropping to 12s, tho

No, it's not at full tilt yet, but it pretty close, tho. I still have a little more power left in it. My bass knob is only halfway up. My highest score is 139.4 at 30hz. I'm still tuning the amp. My average score is 138db at 30hz to 33hz. Depends on voltage and song. Crazy part is if I slide the box over and inch I can either gain or lose dB. Same with the sitting. If I touch anything I can gain or lose dB so. Still gotta Lotta work to do to hit 140db

No isolator. I got the factory honda battery under the hood for now. Gonna replace it with and agm soon. In the trunk is an agm battery. Gonna upgrade to lithium soon.

​@@JimmyBoy87you also only need an isolator if you have 2 batteries with different chemistry. Like AGM up front and lithium in the back. Except headway and some pre built lithium batteries. Mostly lifepo4. They can be paired with AGM.

I did. Just moving the enclosures alone increases my score from 135db to 139.6db. Still trying to get a 140 out of it

@BrokeSim amp wise I love orion 2500dz. The 3500 is alright but the 2500 is better to me. I'm running the taramp 5k. It pushing out the power but my agm battery doesn't like it to well. Check out the taramp 3k. You might like it. I like the 5k just my electrical can't handle it right now

If you mean the box, it hit, really hard. It damn sure big and heavy ass hell. It's about 70 to 80 lbs. It was built to handle a 100lb sub. Just heavy ass hell. Almost 3 layers of wood

It's just a down 4 sound prefab. The 1st ones that came out. Used to have 2 e12 in it. Then I put the x12 in there for fun. Gotta get a new box for the x12. But the box does well tho.
