I can see where you are coming from but I don't think they were at camp so to speak and I don't think you're putting enough faith in German training. Either way standing fully upright in front of an enemy squad is still stupid any way you slice it.

I never said his accuracy is reliant on what others around him are doing, just that it is realistic that no one shot the Lieutenant because they were ALL disorganised. Some were shooting back, but as I said, this would be hurried and panicky due to the Lieutenant's fire and the fact that only a few were firing at him. Also, fear and panic spread like poison. If everyone else is running and being shot, it'd be hard to keep your focus and not think about running too.

You sure about that? I think you aught to look closely at that part of the clip again cause I can see them fully geared and even some firing back granted its a bit disorganized but a soldiers accuracy is not reliant on what the guys around him are doing (usually).

Why would a firing squad be scared? Oh, and they would start off with their guns pointing in my general direction. The soldiers in that clip were lying around, sitting, eating, drinking, talking, etc. Their guns probably weren't even in their hands unless they were cleaning them.

In fact it isn't all that unrealistic. You have to imagine the kind of panic they were going through. They were not expecting to be shot at, and being shot at is extremely frightening. Their hands would be shaking and they couldn't aim properly. This is emphasised by the fact they were probably conscripted. On the other hand, the American is a high-ranking officer, very disciplined and an expert marksman. He would have no trouble nailing 90% of those he shot at. P.S. His team wasn't far behind.
