This band is the reason why music is still kickin! Bought the vinyl after I discovered them. And they learned from Kraftwerk and Daft Punk that only the music counts, not the face and the image.

Couldn't agree more! I was really disappointed. If the original idea of the festival was bringing back that Nu Metal sound, this strays from that path. Metallica headlines? Where is Korn, Limp Bizkit, borderline Deftones, Papa Roach, Slipknot? Like ain't there a big enough list of nu metal bands still active? Or why not try to include some of the new Nu Metal bands bringing back the sound these days? Taproot, Crossfade just reunited, Trust Company? Yeah this sucks

I was at school when it came out. I remember feeling like someone was singing the story of my life even though it wasnt. I remember my friends loving korn cos of the unhinged style of jinathan davis. I always felt this was better and more relatable. It was like deftones without trying to be clever which white pony had gone on that direction.

I always wonder what would Kurt Cobain think of Nu Metal if he hadn't died in 94, I feel like he wouldn't be a fan of Nu Metal movement and probably dislike most Nu Metal bands with a few exception. Maybe he would think fondly of Korn's and Deftones' debut but not so much with Limp Bizkit's debut since Fred Durst and Kurt Cobain were very different from each other.

Nah bro the Earth is flat we've been lied to matter of fact our whole history it's a lie definitely check out my lunch break podcast it's all about the architecture in the old world buildings. Very interesting he talks about who actually built those buildings and when they were built and all the suspicious fires narrative stories and then shows the rumbles from the great fires and it doesn't look like a fire looks like a bomb went off because it's just a bunch of crumbled concrete it looks like a war zone it's pretty interesting stuff to say the least

And yeah temples of boom Cypress Hill killed it with that man they captured exactly what they were going for and what they had to work with they were definitely ahead of their time there's not a lot of groups that are looking for a certain sound and can find it and have found it and put it in a whole album the album just defines what Cypress Hill was all about when it was gray and rainy outside and you could have the window and the slider door open or the front door and you're sitting at your desk taking bong rips. And you just wanted to chill vibe with no bulshit subscribed just straight going head first into the realm of Cypress Hill it's like they created something that engulfed you and that you can sink into almost like a VR virtual reality like except for your ears like you were submerged in it in a different world it was something that you could put on and it would teleport you to a whole other place like your place inside your mind that was hard to find but somehow with the help of Cypress Hill you located it that's when I was about 15 heavy in a skateboarding smoking weed and like animal chin definitely searching for animal chin everyday an everyday with successfully find him for a split second which caused me to get up the next day and go look again cuz I knew it was out there. Yeah long story short man w0w way to put it down Cypress Hill before you kooked out and went Dr Green thumb and what kind of down the road that was somewhat corny it was still you had tequila sunrise which they found it again one time the real s*** that they were going for which was like one in a million like the banger but yeah kudos kudos on Cypress Hill and be real really matured out and is it true role model inspiration and clean his self up a little bit to be able to go somewhat mainstream which was kind of cool as well

Love this band and this song. Brandon Boyd works well with this type of music. It almost reminds me of what Incubus could’ve done nowadays rather than go full - on what they are now.

So awesome to see Spiritbox on the podcast! One of my favorite bands since I first heard Rule Of Nines back in 2020. Courtney LaPlante is very talented and has had a record of bands and previous work under her belt. She was the second vocalist for the experimental mathcore band called iwrestledabearonce before Spiritbox, which is what got her on the map for her aggressive vocals. Spiritbox is where we get to see her shine with her beautiful melodic clean vocals for the first time. I think what makes a great metal vocalist is their ability to alternate between clean and aggressive and she does it so seamlessly. Also the guitarist Michael Stringer is indeed her husband. Talented couple. They started Spiritbox together.
