This assertion is ridiculous. The manual states that the battery is warrantied to not lose more than 40% of capacity over 8 years. It does not say that it will or that it is even to be expected. That's like saying "Chevy says that the Corvette could need a new engine and transmission at 5 years or 60,000 miles." The warranty says that IF that loss happens before that time period then it is covered. To date not a single Volt or Bolt battery has been replaced due to capacity loss. There have been batteries replaced due to faulty components, but not due to degradation.

It is not a Citroen, it is designed, produced and it is a unique DS model.
