      It depends on your luggage size. Large luggage cannot be placed in Type C. Therefore, lockers are provided. If your room is not a C-type room, you can put your luggage inside the room, but only P-type rooms can be locked.

      Thanks for your comment! The hotel room was very clean! The dusty look may have been due to noise from taking video in the dark. Also, the partitions are accordion curtains, so the rubbing from opening and closing them may have looked like dirt, but rest assured that they were in fact clean and comfortable to use!

    Lovely. Between hinotori shimakaze and Saphir Odoriko which is more luxurious and why?

    • @POVTravelJP
      @POVTravelJP Год назад

      Thanks for your comment! First of all, Hinotori is not a sightseeing train, so it is somewhat inferior in terms of luxury. Shimakaze and Saphir Odoriko are both sightseeing expresses, and in terms of luxury, it is hard to say which is better. These are different train companies, different routes, etc., so they are not competing in that respect either.

      Thank you for your commnet! 1. Train reservations can be made through the Kintetsu website or through a travel agency. Kintetsu Railway www.ticket.kintetsu.co.jp/vs/en/e-ticket/ 2. In addition to the Shimakaze, there are other trains running on the same route, so of course it is possible to return on a cheaper train for your return trip!

    This was outstanding thanks. Please tell me two things: why do attendants bow at an arriving train and why does Japan have such a transparent system where people can view directly into drivers cabin so easily? Thanks

    • @POVTravelJP
      @POVTravelJP Год назад

      Thank you for your commnet! 1. Japanese people bow when they give polite greetings. Attendants bow as a greeting and perhaps also as a courtesy to the driver and the train itself. On regular trains, conductors and station attendants do not bow. 2. I think the reason is that Shimakaze is a sightseeing train, and one of its advantages is to offer a more wonderful and extraordinary view to customers. Also, one might say that showing the driver's every move is also one form of entertainment.
