Planting Potatoes with Long Shoots
Have you ever saved potatoes that grow long white pale shoots and the potato is shriveled, and wondered if you can plant them and still get good potatoes? I have had this question asked to me many times and finally decided to give it a go. This video does not show the end results because they were just planted in Spring 2024. But I show a trial in containers then planted out to the garden. I also discuss and show no-till planting into a cover crop that was terminated with mowing and tarps and the beautiful soil I plant into.
