Hi there! I am your size using the same 30l bag in full ballistic black for over 2 years, just without the water bottle holders. To counter the weight on the shoulders problem, I improvise by using a loose clip-on neck pillow on my waist to fill the gap between the bag and my back, to give the bag more area of support to spread out the load. Also I ensure the top load lifters are adjusted and the sternum straps and waist straps are secured when I can. The challenge comes when I need to undo all of that to take something from the bag then redo all the steps again. Still on the bag, which looks exactly the way I received it. Tried a few other bags which are too long for my torso. Cheers.
