I know, because I teach them, and have many friends and colleagues who teach them. Suppression? We literally never think about creationism. Most college biologists don’t even know creationism is still a thing.

The introduction says "Here’s why you should NOT be persuaded by the evolutionary narrative" but it is much more accurate to say "Here’s how you can avoid being persuaded by the evolutionary narrative". Basically, read the guest's book and stuff on the Answers in Genesis website.

The reality is that the Biblical inerrancy doctrine is an American invention. In the rest of the world Christians have no issues with evolution at all. One of the greatest scientists in the field was a Catholic Priest. Evolution is defined by a change in alleles over successful generations. Students and adults can observe these changes in every new generation with changes in DNA. That's evolution. One shouldn't ever be persuaded by any ideas. One should be persuaded by evidence that can be independently validated. Evolution has mountains upon mountains of this verifiable evidence as opposed to the simple religious claims (without any evidence) made here.

There is a ton of evidence to support evolution and zero for creationism. While they are correct that evolution doesn't have ALL the answers. It is a theory that fits the available data we have today. All creationism has is 'God did it'. The origin of the biblical story of creation is an amalgam of regional stories told over 2000 years ago and has not progressed in all that time. Now, many Christians will say that the bible was inspired by God. But there isn't any evidence of that either. Not one book in the bible, not one, was written FOR the bible. They were books that came together at a much later time, assembled by men. You can listen to the evidence and follow your faith with no fault to you or God. In my opinion, the people in this video are only interested in money. They need to you to be stupid for their pocketbooks.

The title of this video is misleading, he never explains WHY you should not be persuaded by Evolutionary Ideas, he just says that you should not be, and he takes twenty minutes to do it. Consider the mutation of the genes responsible for the apolipoprotein A1 to apolipoprotein A1-Milano difference, which occurred in Giovanni Pomarelli in 1780. This would have to be new genetic information and it has protective properties against cholesterol. "...why evolution as Darwin explained it..." ... Who cares about Darwin? Darwin's ideas were the _start_ of the Theory of Evolution, it's been modified since then, in the same way that Einstein modified Isaac Newton's Theory of Gravity. What a sad thing to see what religious indoctrination can do to the minds of young adults. The Pope, the majority of religious leaders and reputable Biblical scholars have accepted the truth of evolution. No other scientific theory has been challenged by both theologians and scientists more than evolution, since Darwin published in 1859. Evolution has never been disproven. Evolution, through continuous challenge has been proven as a theory of fact, more than the theory of gravity. The principles of evolution perform reliably and predictably everyday and are applied throughout multiple scientific, medical and industrial applications, such as; comparative anatomy, biology, biogeography, genetics, virology, molecular biology, epidemiology, mining, petroleum extraction, animal husbandry, agricuclture, environmental sciences,....just to name a few. For people to refute the Theory of Evolution in 2024 is just sad...sad...sad...sad.
