I’m looking at a used farm king 1080 for my deere 5125R but was worried I might be a little under powered?? That blower looks exactly like the one I’m looking at?? 1000rpm w 36 inch fan? That 7800 would have a little more power but not much. What you think?
I can tell you it’s not even close to slowing down my tractor. We have some snow here in spots I have to blow that’s over the blower in depth (driveway on side of long hill) I can’t say exactly how much power my tractor has though as I haven’t owned from new and I can tell someone has tampered with the security plate on the back of the injection pump. I don’t believe it’s turned up much so you should still be good. I can’t remember the min hp on this blower and you have probably looked into it but you should be easily over that
I should say I blow at the speed my blower can take snow in. My speed is never dictated by power of tractor. The pto kit installed is half engine speed so I’m roughly 1000 pto also
@@kslift5334 do you know what make and model that blower is? Maybe I missed it in the video??
@ same blower 1080 I would have to confirm the fan size but I’m sure that was it because I was thinking when I got it that it would take more power for that fan size
@ thanks
Great setup
That guy is soo hot!!
I live in the Deep South. Is this the northern version of “why’d you buy such a big mower for that small a yard” type thing? The answer is “maybe shoulda bought a couple sizes up, still takes too long”.
Nothing Runs Like a Deere! You were moving a lot of snow, but it's hard to appreciate from the inside view.
How is the swap coming along ? Did you have to modify the firewall or just the trans tunnel?
It’s goodish, all together and running/driving I do need to blow it all apart for paint someday but haven’t had a chance with work. Just the tunnel, I debated firewall work but pushed rad ahead instead
Just blow that snow back to the clouds where it came from...while wearing a t-shirt.😎
It's only too big if the tractor doesn't have enough HP to run it.
Seems Big in the Shop but it soon feels no so big if in Deep Snow ! Great Machine 😃🤠
To big????? Hell no! Go big or go home! Love the green and yellow! Nice rig for sure.
A front mount blower on a 100 hp tractor, perfect set up 👍
Perfect camera placement! Right by that big nasty exhaust pipe!
Complaining someone's blower is too big in Canada, is like saying someone's boat is to big in the ocean.
New fuel filter with anti gel. Fresh oil every 50 hrs. 20hrs for gear box .Sounds like winter.
Now we in 2024 and there ain't any snow to be seen in central Wisconsin
How many gallons of diesel per hour at what RPM? Beautiful Tractor and Blower!
As as your snowblower fits through the shop door with tiny bit of clearance, it isn't too big. LOL
What do you use to keep the snow from sticking ?
It just shows your prepared!! Nice job!!!😊
There is no such thing as "to big equipment" - only to small barns.
K that is a sexy set up!! I love it
nice
Bigger is always better...ask anyone.
I guess you mean business👍
I will say that the Tractor is to big for the blower😀😃
There is no such thing as a snow blower being to big . I have moved drifts as high as 6 to 7 feet it takes time but it can be done. I have seen a 3 auger like yours.the bigger the better.
Front pto...that is the key to going really big!!
that baby is an animal !!! lol
That's a mammoth setup. Love it. That's big money. Could of used that at my place 2 weeks ago. We had over 2 ft in 24 hours
That big girl would have gone through 10X that amount of snow...
depending where he is in Ontario, i bet that came in damn handy after this storm we just had
1/2 hr south of OwenSound, it was very nice to have…. I would say more snow than 2020 storm.
Is the front pto and front three point factory or did you add it? Any info is appreciated. Thank you!
Its a laforge “factory option” front hitch and I added the front pto when I purchased tractor. The pto kit is zuidberg. Both laforge and zuidberg offer complete kits but I preferred the zuidberg, probably because it was cheaper and I know them better.
@@kslift5334 Thanks!
Sweet setup for clearing the snow. Certainly not overkill
That is fantastic!
Man that JD sounds sweet. Sounds a little like a 7.3 Power stroke.
Nothing runs like a deer
Soooo jealous! I'm not sure why you backed up at the pine tree. 🤔 🤣
This man has been waiting his whole life for this moment.
There are several thousand people living in and around Buffalo NY who wish they had this setup...
I used a JD 3010 gas with a old front JD loader for years! Snowmobile Clothing with a full helmet and full clear plastic shield... 3 hours of pushing snow.. COLD☃️
... and that's why I absolutely LOVE snow blowing!!
Nice work! I have an 8 1/2", rear-mounted snow blower. It is overkill during most of these wimpy winters we have been seeing here in mid-Michigan. But, the day will come when it will work hard to clear the deep snow...I like snow! Yes, a front-mounted blower would be nicer, but any blower sure beats plowing it and making banks that collect more snow.
too big? need to be bigger, sask. big. Our CDN snowblowers are meant to be massive🤣😆
Haha my what a big blower you have! Like engines there’s no replacement for displacement. Those guys that say it’s too big are just jealous.
What a beast!
Neighbor on one side gets 6” of snow, neighbor on the other side gets 12”…
It’s not too big but I am curious why not a JD blower? Price?
We don’t see many deere blowers around here, Buhler dealer isn’t far away and my last two blowers have been buhler. Maybe a simple blower but they seem heavy enough
Wow what a snow machine
blowers are never too big "(ღ˘ ⌣ ˘ღ)" 💕
I know this is old but I would of never had the chute pointed up like that unless there was a strong wind to blow it away from the path, I would of ran with it a about 20-30 degrees to keep the white wash/snow fog down and get some distance, good video though.
I guess I should change the title, but in the description I think it says the lines were not hooked up yet for that. I only had one set of remotes to the front when I first used. Newer vid has it all hooked up. Thanks for comment
I seen the lines hooked to cylinder and just couldn't figure out why you didn't move it, I did think that maybe the switch in cab was bad, nice set up.
