4 300's in one tourney and don't make the show Awful If revs didn't have to use a sledge hammer ⚒️ he wins And if they bowled on where they were bowling all week Revs would have mopped him up Different building then where they bowled all week
This dude on tour said he didnt think he could throw 2 strikes in the 10th to win aa title No wonder why he didnt win alot of shows. Makes sense
I actually thought that was a very genuine moment and showed humility. As much confidence as someone has, you can never REALLY know you can do something until you do it. I remember thinking Shafer would really take off after this win and emerge as one of the top players.
Imagime one week tim criss has no hair Then the next week has hair Yea that happened Curious how many titles he had with no hair And how many titles with
I think he won 3 titles in 1997 and 2 more after that
Richie Wolfe had a great game. Actually he still does!
He threw it so sweet. It still bothers me that he never won a title. Should have beaten Couch in 1995 Indianapolis.
@ , I agree!
34:47 MASSIVE tripped 4-7 for Pete Weber!
I remember they used to call Brian Himmler "The Fish Grazer" when he was on tour
Why? 😂
Cry baby pedersen
I love the only porn music as the intro music in these 90's telecasts!
EnigmaZero, Marshall Holman is one of the best Bowlers on the Pba Tour. Also, Which Pba Shows from 1991 are you planning to upload on RUclips?
55:57 The pain returns!
Good parody. John Fanta is basically an obnoxious discount Chris Farley/Fat Drew Carrey.
Great comp 😂
@@enigmazero8624 Thanks, man.
@@TheCD5150 Fanta even has the Cleveland connection like Drew. He had a funny Cleveland Browns meltdown earlier this season.
@@enigmazero8624 Interesting. Fanta should be fired ASAP. John Fanta is the only commentator I have had to turn the sound off whenever he's on a PBA show. Not Stone, Not Ryan, Not Mike J, Not LaMont, and not even that guy who later did World Series of Poker. Only SodaJerk Fanta. Been watching the older telecasts and I dearly miss Rob Stone and Dave LaMont at this point.
@@TheCD5150 Rob Stone somewhat grew on me over the years. Dave Ryan is like a robot reading a script (see my silly video of him). Lon McEachern the poker announcer knew nothing about bowling. Jim Kelly the golf announcer was also brutal.
Man I wish this event came back even if it's not sponsored by Motel 6.
Why? This was the dumbest event of all time
@@enigmazero8624 I don't think the event itself was. I think the format (bracket style format) was dumb. While I concede the fact that it's filler, it's basically something as a fun, Made-For-TV stopgap event until next season. Instead of a bracket and instead of 6 finalists for the shootout round, it should be the top 4 from the player of the year race and basically make it a stepladder event. Bowl frames 6-10. Winner takes all. There's something more rewarding with a winner-takes-all event that's just not there in any other PBA title event where the prize fund is heavily fractured.
But then you get Barnes winning $200,000 on a crossover when second place got $0. Awful look for our sport. All these made for tv shows are stupid. Just bowl more real events and not all at the same handful of centers.
@@enigmazero8624 I guess we can agree to disagree on this one.
43:06...Hey!!! 😉
Hey Mr. Enigma do you have any team challenges or any best ball challenges from the high roller?
Sadly no. I used to watch all that stuff but I only ever recorded the pro events.
That's a young Doug Kent!
This was Bob Strampe's final TV appearance.
I remember this show! Lot of great bowlers on this show. BTW, do you happen to have the 1990 Ebonite Senior Championship won by Earl? I only have the ESPN classic version which has several frames edited out.
I do not have that one. I only found 2 shows from 1990 in my collection, unfortunately.
This show is from my hometown. I worked at this center and it was the home center for my high school team.
@@enigmazero8624 I am sure you remember Jack Dolan. Shame that this center was sold to AMF
@@irishpogi yes I do. Before AMF bought it, the company that owned several area centers was called Conbow.
Whatever happened to Rowdy Morrow!!!
EnigmaZero, Did Rowdy Morrow Bowl with Mickey Spezio in the 1987 Senior/Touring Pro Doubles Championship in 1987 that you have uploaded on RUclips?
That's been posted already by someone else.
EnigmaZero, That was an awesome upload of the Stepladder Finals of the Pba Senior/Touring Pro Doubles Championship. Also, Which events from 1991 do you have and Do you have the AC Delco Classic from 1991 that has the Title Match?
It's already on RUclips look for it
Great win for Dave
41:28 OH YEAH
Norm Duke is a class act. Unlike Pete & Walter.
@insidebowling missed spares in the first game early. wow.

Chris Warren just ripping the lips off that ball. What a stud. Great finals!
does anyone remember how many lanes did this place have
I was in the crowd at this show but I have no idea how many lanes the center had

1:05:20 Pause right there. Those are the eyes that all legends have when it comes down to a clutch situation. It's like a "2000 yard stare" but with no trauma involved. Everything in your peripheral vision goes dark. And all you see is that mark. Nothing else goes through your mind except "hit that mark."
T😢YOU HOLY SPIRIT FOR YOUR PRESENCE IN MY LIFE I AM VERY GRATEFUL AMEN ❤️

Funniest thing ever Hes in an interview talking about a gutter ball Hes throwing the shot while playing his interview as Soon as he says gutter ball he throws it in the gutter You cant make this up. This was Marresse's only show. How he led the tournament ill never know
He’s made more than one show
Brian Kretzer was so one dimensional Thats why he couldnt win on tour Was pretty good in the amateurs Dont ever copy that approach
Ryan shafer all them shows but only 3 titles he won 2 in one year. He gagged on alot of shows. He didnt even throw it that good tbh ( fix your face )
Bornhop had ***103*** in the 8th frame in the semi final. Could've shot 120
EnigmaZero, That was a fantastic upload of the Ebonite Thunderbolt Dual Block Bowling Ball Commercial that features Carmen Salvino. Also, Do you like the Telecasts on the Pba Tour that are held in New York? Also, You are the best in uploading the bowling videos on RUclips.
I would say over the years the telecasts from Arizona and Kentucky have been the most interesting.
i sure brian voss is still alive. he rocks the lanes🎳🎳🎳🎳
I wonder how the thunderbolt would work today with today's Lane conditions and the newer different oil that's being put on the lanes and I wonder if ebonite had ever thought about maybe even though it's now brands of Brunswick bringing the thunderbolt out of retirement and maybe bring it out as in a reactive ball with hk22 or just bring it back out as a urethane maybe a tweak it up a little bit have a little stronger cover maybe a cover similar to a purple hammer
They released a ball called the “Thunderbolt Urethane Maroon” in May of 2022. I’ve never seen one and can’t find any information about it. It probably stinks like all the other remakes they release to capitalize on people’s nostalgia.
What exactly makes a bowling ball better for ladies? 🤔
HEY TABITHA I BOWLED A HIGH GAME OF 204! JUST FOR YOU AND ME!
Love David Ozio, loved when he filled in for commentary in some if the outdoor pba events
Last question will your telecast tapes go all the way through 1996 and complete the loop
I have at least a couple from 96 in my last set of tapes, but I didn’t start taping the shows religiously until 1997. I’ll upload whatever I have.
Buzzsaw Gant was phenomenal. I got to meet him in person in 1997 in Vegas, while being at the Sahara casino. He remembered me in 1999 at the Showboat Tour stop and we spoke again there as well as at ABC Masters that year. When I ran into him at the 2000 Masters, I made him laugh hard. We spoke a few times and after the second day of qualifying, we ran into each other in the paradise garage. John asked me how I bowled and I told him " I did horrible shooting a -280 under". He said "I wasn't too far behind you shooting a -220 under". I said to him " I thought you weren't human, you don't shoot -220"?. He busted up laughing. This was a super great field of bowlers here, 2 of which i know personally Wodka and Gant.
I like everything about Gant, from his ahead of its time physical game to his willingness to leave the Tour to raise his kids. I am also married to a physician so his career arc really speaks to me. I love that when he returned to the Tour he just rolled out of bed and won a title to re-qualify for the ToC and then won that too.
@enigmazero8624 amen I agree with you. Even after he quit the Tour to raise the kids so his wife could finish her internship and degree to be a Surgeon, he still made money on the side bowling PBA REGIONAL events on the weekends, when his wife Beverly wasn't in school.
One of, if not, THE greatest bowling balls ever made.
I’m too young to really know much about this ball. I remember the U2 though I never had one. Early 90s I started drilling actual high performance equipment.
Shafer is without a doubt top 5 overrated in history of the pba He thought he was funny when he said he didnt think he could double in the 10th Nobody laughed tho hes a cornball (fix your face )
Steve Jaros was always bum juice to me Lucky that othe MR. No thumb bum shot 100 on the show Or he would still have lowest game on national tv 127. Still dont know how this bum shot 300 on TV
What players did you like/think were good from this era?
Hromek will go down as top 5 overrated on the pba tour in history. Hromek got lucky to beat Parker for the us open title He won a doubles title with Dick Weber Himmler should of had way more titles. Got robbed on some shows Webb couldnt live in vegas with his gambling problem got lucky to meet A really rich woman he married. He made the bowling movie league of ordinary gentleman look terrible All he did was wine wine wine and then his garbage 🗑️ karoake He couldnt live in vegas long he gambled all his money away If you notice hes using dynothane. That was started by Ron Wood in Vegas Wayne was livimg in Vegas at the time He was the only one. on staff
