What brand is the heavy UV leader you mentioned near the start of this great presentation? Nige
Hi mate we import it directly from Japan
Do you know if you can get kings at the 36s
Yep
Yes you can mate, but not as much or not schooled up as much as on the 50 fathom reefs. But if you find the bait schooled up on the bottom anywhere along the 36’s, it will be worth jigging.
Nice little flatty
Thankyou for the seminar video,it taught me a lot. Stuart mentioned using very thin 15lb braid that is equivalent to the 4lb old school braid. Please can you advise me as to what brand/ model it is. Nige from Sydney
Hello Nige, he was talking about the Xbraid models in 14 and 16lb.
Quick question.. I'm not down the Broady too often... Where / what is the Marina and where is the Gold Coast Bridge you mentioned regarding Squid.
Hi mate it’s the Sundale bridge and in front of Mariner’s Cove
Comment
Good work I love ya show nothing up close 🤙🏻
Sorry about the close up shots. We are looking at doing each seminar again just for you tube with close up shots on what we talk about mate
what's the spit fishing like?
It’s great for tailor on the surf beach late afternoon early morning ( wind and swell depending ) . The walk fished well but lots of snags and the pier on the inside of the bay fishes often ok at night for hairtail and squid
Great tips Dougie. What rod and reel set up is that at 10mins 30 secs? Cheers
Hi, it’s my Shimano Zodias 274 spin rod and my older Sustain 4000 reel spooled with 300mtrs of 20lb X Braid Pentagram
Hey Doug, great vid mate. You reckon it’s worth doing this in the Broadwater through the day?
Also, I don't think you mentioned what rod and reel to use? Thanks mate. Much appreciated.
Thank you Simon. At day they tend to be caught easier on lures … metals cast at the birds and bait or trolling shallow diving lures around the birds and bait. Same areas around crab island mate
I just use my Flathead rids and reels . 2500-3000 size reel and 6’8-7ft rods
A bream report next week, please
Depends if you are catching them on lures or baits mate. Lures best fishing around runaway bay canals casting small plastics or lures and bait fishing early morning high tide light sinker near the green on the corner of the north wall of the seaway and at night in front of biggera creek on the coffee rock again last run in tide and first run out tide
How cute ,cpl dressing ,
😂🤣
Cheers guys. Lookin chemically sharpened
🤣😂
All dressed up twins 😂
🤣😂
Hi Dougie, great video mate. its given me a few items of homework to look into while the weathers to bad to go fishing.
Our pleasure mate thank you 🎣
The master of seminars 👍😎
Thank you Darren 🤗
There was some school mackerel at the pin this week. 60+cm
Yes mate we hope you caught a few
As always I found the seminar very informative What is the name of the ikijimi app you mentioned?
Ikijimi tool is the name of the app 🎣
Thank you mate
Thanks for all the great advice... Got me pumped for the week end. Came in this morning and didn't,t know about you EFY sale... Got a new rod ... bring on the snapper
Yewww nice mate and good luck out there 🎣
Hey Dougie and Stuart. Wonder if you got the colour red head or dolly varden in any of your Duo lures. Fangbait 80dr or 100dr.
You can go to a tackle shop, spend $200, then spend $80 in fuel to go fishing, catch nothing. Or you can go to isle 7 when doing your shopping and buy fish. I do the latter, it saves a lot of time and money.
Hehe, but not as much fun mate 🎣
Any bream areas you may suggest, coming up for the hobie round next month. We start across from sea world. Cheers
Hi Raymond, around the canal of Runaway bay is best mate
Where do you guys launch from to get to the pin , thanks for the video great tips
Hi Josh , paradise point boat ramps are closest unless you want to tow your boat to Jacob’s Well mate
Sending positive vibes to everyone reading this! May your day be filled with joy and success
Hi Dougie and Stuart been meaning to come up there longtime no visit .hey have you got many DUO brand lures I'm looking for some and can you order some I'm looking for some different colours in them I've been on to Wilson and they said work out what colours and what models and should be able get but I guess they won't sell directly to me that's why I asking you .please?🙏🙏🙏
Hi Mark, we hope you are well mate 👍 Yes we carry a large range of models and colours Mark
Any hints where to catch bream 15 , 16 july hobie round.
So sorry for the late reply Ray, I would have suggested around the runaway bay canals back areas
What weather app do you guys use? I see tomorrow as a cracka….
Hi Sean, we like to use Windy.com
Always innovative, informative and entertaining. New fishing products on the market always interesting.🤠🎣
Hi Chris. We range at least 200 new products a month mate
Literally the easiest way to tie a Haywire twist, Best video to learn off of HANDS DOWN.
Thank you mate

Thanks Doug
Welcome mate 🎣
THANK YOU! So easy to follow along, did it right my first try! Thank you again!!
Welcome mate 🎣
Hard to hear too hear this
Sorry mate, we had problems with the mics that we use on that night, but all fixed now , thank you.
Great session by the looks
0:19 hey guys was seeing if you could please tell me some spots to fish for luderick other than the seaway please, where abouts at the council chambers ? I’ve fished Tallebudgera break wall last year but it’s shut until August, any other places up the nerang river? Would be very appreciated thanks.
Hi Patrick, I’m not sure if they are there now but try off the council chambers around where the pipe comes out of the lake facing towards Broadbeach way. Fish along the rock wall there to the tip ( surfers side ) where the big rock is mate .
Hiya, very good vid. Well edited too. Do you have the jet heads and baitomatics on your website? Had a boomers look and couldn’t find. Much appreciated
Hi Ralph we are still setting up our website, but we do have some of the rigs in the Pakula jet heads and we are trying to get ahold of more of the baitomatic style mate heads to make our rigs up
We can do phone orders though
Good morning guys could you please let me know where to fish land based for luderick besides seaway Tallebudgera etc, where abouts at the council chambers? Anywhere up the nerang? Thanks have a great day
This time of year they are close to the river mouths. There is couple rock wall canal entry’s around runaway bay that fish good land based
Geez I wish I could throw a net
You should open 6am on weekends….
Hi Sean we did try that a few years ago, I’ll keep you updated if we decide to open again early on a Saturday morning mate . Thank you for your comment. 🎣
Hi Guys, never did figure out what the rods were as you never seem to tell us which ones they were. Also, you need a small stand, in focus, to present each of the items you sent around the room, just need to be on the stand for the count of five. Really enjoyed the Live Stream and learnt a lot. Many Thanks Phil.
Hello Phil thank you for your kind comments, we are looking at doing separate same seminars for all of our seminars for you tube only, with lots of close ups. Watch this space they say.
@@dougburtstackleworldgoldcoast Looking forward to that, you guys are TOPS!
The Muppets are back for fishing report 😂 lol .
😂🤣
mad review cheers
Went out the pin weekend before last at night out for 6hrs caught nothing but 1.2m hairtail
But stupid me being from WA didn't realise they were any good to eat until I got home and looked them up so i ended up releasing it 😢
Mate they are beautiful to eat, it’s just that their head is horrid
Sean try fishing for tailor around the south side of Gold Bank to the front of Tipplers’s Channel at night run in tide , wa Phillies and bait not quiet on the bottom
see you guys there tomorrow
first
Hey boys. New to fishing for tailor on the Broadwater, when locating them do you just look for birds and bait. Or are there areas where you can start blind fishing?
Went out on Tuesday and the bite was really good guys but the sharks are really bad. Hooked my first Spanish with in 2 minutes and got it to the boat but no it got hammered I got 3 good hookups and they all got smashed 😱😤😤😤
It’s a real problem and getting worse each year and unfortunately their is no way of beating them except to fish heavier and harder to get them in quicker mate
