With gilded sword, you can do 3 targeted slashes instead. So just hold target and slash 3 times and it should work. I will say however that this bk skip is prone to crashing, so if you're playing on the vanilla version of the game beware of that, however the new randomizer beta fixes this crash. For some glitchless runs, playing SoT after bow would actually be good, but for this (and glitchless any% for example) you get beans for the well while you're in Deku Palace for Sonata, so playing SoT would mean you would need to backtrack to get them later which ends up being slow. In any%, it's not as bad since you revisit WFT to beat Odolwa later in the run, so you can just go to Deku Palace from there, but in this, there's not really any other good opportunity to get beans other than the first visit to Deku Palace. Also, playing SoT after bow means you need to collect more arrows and bombs to enter Snowhead, which is just rng and can be bad or good.

@@Semaj74744 i dont have a wii. and i dont play as much as to justify buying it and i believe nintendo deserves to be pirated. i managed the other, more common way to skip bosskey the few times i needed it. its a pain in the a** though xD

Late reply but, it's unknown why this crashes sometimes. It could be an angle issue, and if you guys are playing on n64/emu, the shield turns won't be consistent because of bad cardinals. Wii vc has cardinal correction, so shield turns can be consistent.
