The traffic and navigating it as a pedestrian are my least favorite things about visiting Iran! It is the only "scary" thing I have experienced there. My tactic when it comes to crossing the street is to hold on to my husband who has a much longer history of navigating Tehran traffic and hope for the best! We will be back in Tehran next week, can't wait!

Tehran subway is really one of the busiest subways in the world
It ranks as the 26th busiest in the world based on the annual numbers of travellers.
Good that you took the Metro on a Thursday otherwise, you were not able to take shots like this in wagons packed with travellers. 😅

Wonderful video, although I think you forgot to mention that Zayande Rud is dry most of the year in Esfahan... I think that is where the misconception comes from. But the spring images when the water flows downstream and reaches the city are truly beautiful! <3

It's interesting.. you can see freedom in these pictures, but why do they say there is no freedom in Iran?
It very much depends on one’s point of view and different aspects of “freedom”.

There are two types of freedom: the freedom that is included in the constitution of a country and the police and the government try to protect it, and the freedom that is not included in the constitution of a country and people have been fighting and killed for it for 45 years, and the police and The government detains and tortures people for not reaching it. The freedom you see in the streets of Iran is of the second type. The government did not give this freedom to the people, but because most of the people disobey the brutal Islamic laws, the government cannot deal with 85 million people.
