Truly a timeless classic if ever there was one. The melodic vocals, perfectly pitched expressions of loss, and incredibly poetic lyrics, never fails to transport my soul. Makes one desire a love in a way that honestly feels ethereal. I recall being 11 years old when this was first released. And of course, knowing absolutely nothing about love, it introduced me to feelings that I never knew existed. I cried, not knowing why. And today, when this song suddenly popped into my head, I realized after 3 marriages and two divorces, what the song meant. My current marriage of 30 years, was forged by these feelings and impeccable lyrics. Thank you Ms. Ross for the melodic introduction to love and loss in my early youth. It helped me overcome very difficult times and discover my lifelong soulmate through so much previous sorrow.
