Had the surgery Monday oct 4th and by the 6th I was ready to get back at it. I'm still staying away from hard rolls but have done a few light ones at the gym just making sure everyone knows I had surgery and they don't grab the neck. Modern medicine is amazing. Thanks for this video. I herniated L-5 S1. My life is so different. I gained almost 80 pounds after. I have had a hard time losing this weight as I exercise and re-injure my low back routinely. I am 45 pounds down. The elliptical seems to be kindest to my body. Thankfully I am now allowed back into the gym. Yoga feels really good but I’m not really burning a ton of weight with it. I appreciate this video it’s giving me hope thinking maybe there is a surgery that can help me get back to normal. I wonder if they do this on the low back as well.

Hey, thanks for the vid. It helps people with those herniated disc problems. I hope people understand the difference between fusion surgery and disc replacement surgery. Disc replacement is the best. Fusion just makes you walk like a robot since there are screws in your bones not allowing the flexibility like disc replacement gives you. Once again, thanks for your video.

hey thank u for sharing this video. im having same problem with my c5 and c6 bulging disk. my right arm is tingling and numb no strength whatsoever. i am a wrestler and i was so frustrated when i found out about my neck. ive been hearing from ppl that if i do the surgery i wont be able to get back to training no more!!! now im so glad that i saw this video from an athlete with same experience. thank u

I just came across your video and i am now even more sure that i made the right decision to have the cervical disc replacement (c6-c7 June 30th). Awesome video! I just had same procedure done 4 weeks ago as well. On the 4th day I felt like a champ and was ready to hit the gym again, but unfortunately restricted not to do so. I'm glad you recovered in such a short amount of time and shared this video with you back in the game 1 week post op...amazing! You just gave me more incentive to get back training again! Thanks

Way to go man. Thanks for the video. I just had the exact same thing done last week. Any advice for weight lifting and hitting the gym again? How long did you have to wait? Im 28 and I also have no pain and recovered very rapidly. Unreal what they can do!

Sure they isolate and strengthen but its all unnatural motion. You may be better off using dynamic stabalization exercises with a light weight ball using spinning motions.
