Opeth solos aren’t about “shredding”, they brilliantly utilize voicing and phrasing to perfectly accentuate the song and carry the momentum already created. The solo from A Fair Judgement is one of my favorite solos of all time because of how it complements the rest of the song and helps create intense juxtaposition leading into the next part. I love that Opeth have so many great solos that everyone in the comments is complaining about a different one not featuring. For me the leper affinity solo not being in there is pretty crazy, that has some of the tastiest licks ever.

The Hours of Wealth outro is up there for me. One of my favorite Opeth songs and super underrated.

Windowpane solo lead me to another dimension and also give me a lonely sensation, but not in the bad way, it's just one of the most beautiful guitars solos I've ever heard

i dont like the solo in "the baying of hounds", when it enters it sounds off and kinda feels like they put it simply because there had to be some solo not because it was good
