Second cross fox this year ( nice catch )

Second cross fox I caught this year, was very unexpected and I was so excited when I saw it in my trap. fox was dispatched immediately and also was caught in the legal trap according to the Manitoba trapping guide which is an Oneida victor #1.5 soft catch equipped with 2 coil springs. please read over your guide and follow all rules and regulations in your area.

I caught a beautiful cross fox here in Manitoba with a Oneida victor 1.5 soft catch. I know some of the tools I used (knife) weren't the best but I was successful haha thanks for watching

thanks for watching I hope you enjoy the videos. I know the quality was sewage but I'm working on it. I do not own the rights to any of the music used in this video
Excellent cow calls. Didn’t know there was a variation but makes sense.
None of those scent eliminators will work. Their nose is so sensitive they will still pick up the slightest of smells. The only way to guarantee you are not smelled is to "play the wind". So save your money on these so called scent eliminators. Gets me Rammy for this season.
What state u hunting
Manitoba canada
Awesome shot! Great vid! What’s your techniques to processing the bear?
👍
What province
Manitoba
Los osos si son peligrosos, pero si tú invades su territorio claro te va atacar y no debes matarlos .
Here in interior Alaska, bulls are much easier to call if they do not have cows with them. If a bull has a harem, a satellite bull can be called in but that big bull with cows typically will not leave the cows. Sometimes cow calling can upset the dominant cow and if the dominant cow responds, the bull may follow her. We shot a 65 inch bull that way.
Here in northern manitoba, from what ive seen is when bulls are eith cows they will not budge if they are with a cow unless you really piss off the big bull, ive never seen a cow come to a call, thats pretty interesting. Thanks for sharing
Thanks man good stuff. Where are you hunting out of
Im hunting out of northern manitoba
Greetings from Australia That's an awesome shot I'd love to come up to Canada & hunt bear. You're very lucky to have the opportunity
Im working on an outfitting license, maybe youll have your oportunity in the near future
@@hookedonhunting_ Awesome

Congrats on a great hunt. That bait site has got to be the prettiest one in Manitoba!
Dude my video has been out for literally 31 seconds 😂😂😂
Ahah
Been waiting for awhile lol
Do you trap for Martin?
I have a few boxes out yes
Fellow hunters, seen this before, was out later in season, too busy, but noticed red drippings from a cow, I assume rut, saw where she pee,d, some red too, not a lot of blood, more like a diluted pee, am I correct it was in heat.
If its really late in the season the red urine could be from her diet, if its not that late in the season it could be because she was in heat, ive also heard at the peak of the rut their urine might have a tint to it.
@@hookedonhunting_ thought same thing about just urine. More red than orange. But thought same thing, she did pee and it wasn’t as red, Thanks, and great videos
Thanks i appreciate it
subscribed!!..you're awesome.
Thank you very much
Over here in kinosao is a hot spot for fox and wolf
Nice, around here ive only seen 5 cross fox in my entire life haha

Excellent video. Thank you for sharing.
Heck yeah that’s a good shot nice going cuz 👍🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
This is a really informative video!
Great video. Was lerry on the irrateated cow I was close.
Wheres your compound bow bull ? I notice theres no video
No bull this year, always next year
We hunt interior Alaska...patience is key. We like to call using a long-distance broadcast cow call with a water routine about 100 yards away from our sitting location. Then sit and glass for at least 2 days...often a bull appears the next day after calling from the same area. We like a big lake downwind so a bull can not come in and scent the hunter from behind and calls carry a long distance across the lake.
Yeah thats good, here we have notjing but thick thick forest and small lakes
This is absolutely excellent. No fluff, just relevant info. Great work 👍
Thank you very much, greaty appreciated
great display of patience, I would've shot the others that were good size but you got a winner there brother congratulations!
Thanks, i was tempted to shoot the second bear but i knew there was a bigger one near by cause i caught him in the camera quite a few times
great video!
That's some awesome calling!!
They go into rutt because of the hours of daylight change
You would think of hours of day light were the trigger for the rut. It should than be the same dates every year.
😊😊😊😊🙏
Are you in Saskatchewan? I’m a first time hunter and trying to find someone to go with and learn from. Moose, elk or deer I’m not picky.
Im from manitoba, im working on my guiding license, once i get it i will contact you, please email me or add me on facebook @hooked on hunting for fb and ericsoutdoors@gmail.com
Always great to see some home province action, congrats on the bear buddy, nothing better then sticking one with the bow ! Heights is the place to go, won’t go anywhere else but there for all my archery needs
I never buy anywhere else either man, the guys there know everything there is to know about bows and archery and the service is the best and the bear was probably the most exciting hunt ive done, this fall is moose
nice bear bro
Thanks bro
Nice bear!
Thanks, it was a good hunt
Look at the short on my profile thing brother LOL the only thing I uploaded was a snaring short
Haha just watched it
Good stuff man. Hoping to get drawn here in Fort McMurray, Alberta this year and use my compound. If you are calling in the direction of the wind and he's coming in against the wind to you would he not smell you?
If im calling into the wind, id stop calling once he responds, and if hes lined up with you and the wind then yes he will smell you, if he responds with grunts let him come find you, move down wind to the left or to the right depending on which way hes coming from then he wont smell you and if hes thinking the cow is where you were calling from then you now have a perfect broadside shot, sometimes you can just stay put and pretend to be another bull, sometimes they dont care about smell especially if they see you as a threat or another challanger, theres many ways of hunting moose, if you have anymore questions please dont hesitate to email me @ ericsoutdoors@gmail.com
What editing platform do you use?
I use adobe premier pro, but there are others that u can use
Good video man. Just had a hard time seeing how to tie the loop in the wire. Is there any better weather conditions that would be better for snaring rabbits? Im wanting to try soon
Thanks for the feed back, snaring rabbits in only a couple inches of snow is harder, cause they tend to walk where ever they feel like, if you wait till there’s a bit more snow then they make these packed down trails and that’s when you set snares, also sorry I didn’t realize my leg was covering most of the first part and my camera was to far out, thanks for the feed back I appreciate it I’ll do what I can to improve the camera shots and angles
Good job bro
I tried lol thanks bro
Keep it up bud
Loved the video man!! I learned a lot and I'll definitely be coming back to this video to get my calls down! Great giveaway too, I completed all the steps!
Thanks, and good luck on the giveaway
I have read a lot of articles by biologists that say the rut is started by the amount of light hitting the moose’s eye
Interesting I've never heard of that but I sure will look it up, that's cool, yeah some say it's the weather, some say it's the time of month, theres many theories that are out there, all I know is when I go hunting and when I call my first moose in, that's when the rut starts for me haha
Great video 👍👍👍 Does it worth trying calling bull in late November or midale of October? What zone are you in? I am a new hunter. Tried for mose this season mid Oct in zones 59 and 56 did get one. Gonna try again in November season
Some hunters say it's not worth calling in late october or november but some hunters say it's worth a try, but if u do attract a moose it will usually be young bulls. ones that haven't had the chance to mate this year will check out your cow calls and I'm in manitoba canada zone 1
November is more of a spot and stalk time of year
@@hookedonhunting_ thanks
Well done you are pretty good on those calls!
I still need alot of practice lol these new calls are a whole new ball park my friend
Good job man!
Great trout, that was huge great video, can't wait to see more, keep them coming!!!
Great video man keep them coming!!!
