Very beautiful flowers❤❤❤
I've had a family of crows visit my bird feeder and one of them was trying to unhook one of the containers. He was quite persistent. Not heard of birds going for spring onions before Hope they leave some for you to enjoy. Your beans are doing well.
It has surprised me what they have been going for this year. My little bird feeder is too small for the bigger ones to get in, not that they haven't tried too though.
Your Salvia is lovely. Thank you for showing us what to do. That was so helpful and I have a much better idea about caring for mine now. It's just a young plant so not very big and I now realise that the woody bit I told you about is just the structure supporting the stems and as it grows that bit will get covered. Thanks again.
Glad it helped out, much easier to do a video on it rather than try to explain over messages hope all goes well with yours.
@@RayfieldsGarden Yes, much easier with a video. Sometimes when I read a manual I wonder what on earth it all means but now there's RUclips, I can see what I'm supposed to do! Thanks again.
hello, white king is amazing. is it winter hardy in the uk or do we need to overwinter it?
White Kings are not very winter hardy, so its best to protect them from the cold over winter.
@@RayfieldsGarden thank you
What a great idea. I'd never have thought of that.
Thank you just a little experiment hopefully it works out, Should look great if it does.
Tomorite is good stuff isn't it? Is that a Salvia Hot Lips that I can see? Do you just give it a haircut after flowering as I'm not very successful with mine. I'm not sure if it would re-sprout if I cut down to the woody bit. I know that Lavender won't but not sure about Salvias. I've probably bought three over the years and I always end up with a woody lower part.
Yes it really is, been using it for quite a few years now & yes it Is a Salvia Hot Lips I Prune it after its died down for winter to just above the last shoots and then just a general tidy up though the summer in the same way I did the Fuchsia bush, I will probably do a video on the Hot Lips when they have finished flowering closer to winter.
@@RayfieldsGarden Thank you and the video will be really helpful.
Very cool 😎
Absolutely gorgeous garden 🏡 and I am new friend here and I am just subscribed to your channel
Thank you for watching & subbing, much appreciated.
Your tomatoes are doing so much better than mine. I've got lots of flowers but no fruit. I'm thinking about growing cucumbers next year but I'm a bit confused as I gather you have to have a male and a female plant and I was wondering how you tell the difference. I'd just like to buy a packet of seeds and sow them like I do with my other plants. What variety did you sow please and were they easy? We have some lovely sunshine here today. Hope it's the same for you.
Last year my tomatoes didn't do much of anything but having the greenhouse this year helped out a lot, regarding cucumbers I bought "All Female Fruiting" ones from Thompson & Morgan: www.thompson-morgan.com/p/cucumber-emilie-f1-hybrid-seeds/WKC9395TM , with these you can plant them just like a normal pack of seeds & leave them to it, our weather hasn't been too bad but been getting a little warm during the evenings, Let me know if you have any problems with the Link above.
@@RayfieldsGarden Thanks so much for the info. They sound just what I'm after. I was at a garden centre having lunch the other day and their homegrown cucumber tasted amazing. I would never have believed the difference in taste compared to a shop bought one.
No problem, and I agree the difference between the watered down ones you get from shops is indescribable.
Going to look really colourful when your plants bloom. I lost so many of my seedlings to the slugs and snails this year. Never known a year like it but every one is different. I'm always moaning that it's either too hot or too cold!
Thank you, Hopefully I'll get more than a month or so before the wind & rain come back for winter, I also lost a lot to slugs this year I first tried eggshells to deter them but had to resort to more heavy duty stuff that did work but not after loosing a lot & having to restart not sure what got in to them this year, & yes the weather this year has been all over the place, but best to make the most of what little warmth we have while it lasts.
Oi❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I got some of those reduced Pelargoneum plants from Morrison's today. I'll give them a good water and tidy up the leaves like you did on yours. I also got some reduced Dianthus and there wasn't anything wrong with those. There I was telling you that I don't find any bargains! Your Fuchsia is gorgeous
Hopefully they pick up well, the bargains on plants are probably ripe at the moment as its towards the end of the buying season for summer bedding plants & thank you certainly does look better now with a bit of a trim.
Did you ask for a reduction or were they already reduced? Our local garden centres/ supermarkets don't reduce their plants by very much but when they do, I always buy them and bring them back to look their best. Yours are looking better already aren't they? Hope they do well for you.
They were already reduced, I think its more of a clear out after they forget to water them so they can buy new, a shame that this is the way a lot of smaller shops near me work but when I'm able to catch them reduced to clear & am able to revive them like these ones did it works out well, glad to know that others do the same so that these plants get more than a shelf life. They did spring to life well just after a few days of water, next Mondays video will be them going into the back border with an assortment of other flowers so hopefully they do well there, thank you for watching & hope that your next plant rescues do well.
Do you know why Zinnias from seeds get dry crispy leaves? Is it a fungus because they've gotten enough water.
Normally fungus on a zinnia plant would have a powdery mildew, dry crispy leaves is most likely due to not enough water, Is the top of the compost damp? if not and if they are in pots, sit the pot in a small amount of water on a tray and let the plants roots draw up water until the compost is damp, then remove the pot from the tray, they don't need to be sitting in water constantly after that point. Hope that helps.
Awesome thanks for the guide! really useful
Beautiful plants. Thank you for video sharing. Like 👍
Ingenious!
