@@expo1993 Russia started using this wire-guided drones during the first days of the Kursk operation and was definitely effective. Ukro jammers were useless because these little babies just fly freely.

Actually it leads to a relay station. The relay station is still radio, but it's way outside of jammer range. That's what makes fiber drones more expensive but safer.

​​​@@NikiPetrovAtanasov I believe the antennas are to transmit the video to the operators feed. To my knowledge, the jammable parts of a drone would be the onboard receiver from the controller.

It is in the schematic 0:13 the fiber relay taps in to the serial lines on the remote and outputs a signal for the headset, they are sent downrange to the flight controller with another FO to serial transponder.
