      @@KaisTheFireWarrior if you actually knew a thing about aviation you’d know that it’s common sense for the pilot to walk behind the helicopter for preflight inspection to ensure that the helicopter is safe to fly because the pilots and engineers know how to do it safely by crouching down under the tail, but walking behind it while it’s starting up or even while it’s off is just dumb because the tail rotor for the r44 is low to the ground and easy to hit your head on.

      @aileronhelicopters In all fairness, I have a lot of time between the 22 and 44, I did my transition in the 66. It was a good ship that served me well and was cheap when i was training. I despise Teterbar and a few other trivial things.

    Yaaaasssss you have to warm up the 44 without engaging the clutch for at least 15 minutes

      Meh, the clutch is disengaged. So long as everyone knew before hand it’s not horrible. It did make for a nice camera shot lol.

      The design of the helicopter killed everything, they should've stopped on the Robinson r22, + the engine being a piston type, atleast the turbine powered r66 is a good heli

      It's the cheap rotor head with both teetering and the coning hinges . The three points of movement makes it very susceptible to both mast bumps and boom strikes if you push over and create negative G situations. The engine is not really the issue as they are very reliable if well maintained . It's really that rotor head and low time pilots .
