Maisotsenko Cycle Counterflow HMX Dew Point Indirect Evaporative Cooling
Maisotsenko cycle (M-cycle) is a unique air cooling system which can reduce the temperature of air below wet bulb and towards the dew point temperature which was not possible either in direct evaporative coolers or indirect evaporative coolers.

    If i understant good the water of evap cooling is recycled ? Does it need very high velocity air or a solar chemney could work ? Cheers !!

      Wet channels are fitted with a water retaining material. Even distribution is not necessary. You just have to keep the wet channels wet all the time.

    Great Job. Writing from Arizona. A few questions. Was the Exhaust air with or with out added humidity. I think this design would be without adding humidity to the good output air vs the working air. I picked up some Aluminum panels from a business that was moving and I thought of using this design- and I just came across your video tonight. They are two sheets with a wave in the middle 10cm total thickness. I also ordered some material to experiment as the evaporator working side. I still am curious about a few details though. Today it was 115 F (46.1c) our humidity is typically low( 20-40) but I would really need to see a big temperature drop to make this worthwhile. Do you think your unit could handle larger volumes of air?

      @waseemshahid8623 4 года назад

      Hello. Yes this design helps in cooling the air without adding any humidity to it. The cooling efficiency mainly depends upon the relative humidity and ambient temperature. Lower the RH and higher the ambient temperature, lower will be the dew point and hence higher will be the temperature drop. Material used won't have much effect tho.

      I got this he is only using it for water distribution the upper part is responsible for airflow.. This is direct evap technique, This is just a condenser and using the resulting temp drop tp cool down air, with aluminum as base instead of normal cooling pads, thius has humidity in the output... in original patents the aluminum corrugated sheets or any other material should go criss cross.. one side you supply water, other you supply air. the exhaust of your room should go to the water channel and throw it out using a exhaust duct with fan.. Thus making it a true m cycle.

      @@mnlala Yes pre-cooling does lower the air wet bulb temperature. In fact pre-cooling of the secondary air prior to its entry into the wet channels, can lower the air temperature down to its dew point, thereby achieving 20-30% higher cooling efficiency.
