Through its portal madineurope.eu and social networks Mad'in Europe follows three main objectives:
1. Develop a European network of heritage trades and craftsmanship by integrating all sources of talent and stakeholders onto one, multilingual platform open to an international public.
2. Gain a better understanding of Heritage skills in order to raise awareness amongst the general public on their value for the future of European culture but also for the economy and social cohesion.
3. Facilitate the transmission of Heritage skills to future generations to ensure a succession plan.

The Future of European Built Heritage Crafts: Study Insights & Panel | Creative Skills Week 2024
At the end of 2023, Future for Religious Heritage (FRH) and Mad’in Europe launched a Europe-wide survey to highlight the current state of built heritage craft skills in Europe, focusing on education, certification, practice, and the transmission of these skills to new generations.
The survey targeted three key groups:
1. Crafts professionals working within the built heritage sector
2. Architects, curators, conservation surveyors, conservation engineers, and heritage building owners
3. Schools and craft training establishments
