I took part in Winterween for the 1st time this year too. I read alot of horror anyway but i was so fun to take part. I love watching videos of others to get book recs . 7:10 I don't know if this happened to you too but I imported my books from GoodReads and only the finished dates show up for the books read before I started tracking in Fable. This means Fable isn't counting most of the books I read this year. It's very annoying!!

These are just guesses on my part. I think Jim is setting up Thomas to be one of the Knights of the Cross. Thomas needs something to help him in his redemption arc, because he clearly wants to be something better than he is. Amorachius could be exactly what Thomas needs to do this. As much as I like Lara Raith, I don't see a redemption arc for her, but that doesn't mean I think that she will die by the end of the series. I think Mab is setting up Lara to join Winter. Harry wants to get Molly out of being the Winter Lady and becoming the next Mab. Mab doesn't trust that Molly will be a good Winter Queen. Lara's cut throat, can do attitude is much more Mab's style. Mab will sacrifice anyone in Winter; including herself, to achieve her goals. I suspect Mab foresees that her own death is coming and wants someone more cold blooded than Molly to succeed her. Of course, even if I'm right, Harry needs to find a way for him and Molly to leave Winter and the right circumstances to make it happen. That doesn't mean the relationship between Harry and Lara won't be fun, I just don't think it will be a really long lasting one. A couple of minor non-spoilers. I remember that along time ago Jim said that Mab was a mortal in 1066AD, around the time of William the Conqueror. If you have ever wondered where Titania's husband Oberon is, Jim has said that Oberon was part of a romantic triangle with Titania and Mab and it didn't end well for him.

I also read Sense and Sensibility as both of the sisters going from one extreme to a nice middle. Marianne, who was all Sensibility, loves twice and calms down. Eleanor, who is all sense, only loves once, and becomes petty AF 😂
