How deep was it at the time?? The water level deepest point at the crossing.
0.6 meters depth (and flowing strong). It is basically asking for trouble and risking it honestly...especially for ANY stock SUVs... ANY 0.4 meters depth (or less) should still be fine in my opinion for good 4x4 SUVs...
What is your ground clearance??? How much does your vehicle weighs?
@7150285- That was an ordinary LandCruiser Prado. Looked like the vehicle was heavy, perhaps loaded with some stuffs

Jenl3162. You wont be dissapointed. This side is a National park & the other side is native land, “Res” as they are called in your country. You need a permit to cross over there.

Hi, At that level, do you think 4wd is necessary or would city SUV get through okay?
Hello Andrew, we saw 2 Fortuner crossed Magela and watched sunset with us. As per yesterday’s Kakadu Access report currently 0.2 metres water at S band and they now mentioned 4WD recommended instead of 4WD only. I’d say SUV will be okay.

The only natural predator for these crocs is when one of those "land train" mega-trucks come barrelling across the partially submerged road there, squashing the odd croc as they go.

Arnhem Land starts from the other side of the East Alligator River, visitors need permits to go there. I heard traditional owners want to keep the environment and nature as it is.

Thousands of places in NT and QLD need a bridge. Who will pay for it and build it? Why doesn't the government just put up a bridge from California to Hawaii?
It’s tropical Australia which takes up 46 % of the country with a wet and a dry season In the wet the rivers run like that Consider this we are95 %empty in a place almost the same size as USA it would be impossible and the tides run extremely high
