I let my female pregnant black lab out at 3:00 a.m. to do her usual business. She took a little longer than expected. Came back in the house went into the closet and delivered 9 puppies. While nursing them she would not put her head down. Kept looking at me. I ran to the backyard to find number 10 she thought she had to poopy. She dropped the first one there. Brought the puppy and put with the rest she licked her up clean and finally put her head down to sleep. 6 Black 3 chocolate one yellow

Looks like mom escaped a breeders home or had an unplanned affair with the male Husky living at the same place. And was dumped by the first owners because she turned out pregnant afterwards. Otherwise, she most likely would have had puppies of mixed breeding while these are clearly purebred.

My wife and I fostered a very small female Golden Retriever and her puppies. She was found on the streets of Mexico. Two days after coming to the US, she gave birth to 9 puppies. 1 week later we welcomed them into our house. The bond you form with the puppies is so strong. We cried as each one went to their forever home. We were able to adopt momma. This was our introduction to fostering rescue dogs. It is so rewarding saving these earth bound angels. Your video brought back so many great memories.

Don’t feel bad. I once accidentally full force launched a tennis ball straight into my husky’s side with a chuck-it. 🤦‍♀️ I like to tell myself that the full winter double coat was an adequate buffer. Her air chomps are still iconic. ❤
