how the heck you throw someone out that wasn't involved in the play and the guy who got thrown at twice? did someone go to the hernandez school of beign stupid? or just overdose on stupid pills that game? i mean so player gets thrown at twice and is pissed. first one maybe quesitonable but noone thoughtt he second one was definitely a message of " i'll thorw it where i want." that's why randy got tossed. another example of why long before now, there should be an appeal/review of all ejections and at the very least an explanation on why players got ejected. i mean the guy thrown at didn't best i could tell touch an official, didn't throw a punch, stuff that automatically get's ejected. the other basically got tossed cause the ump didn't want to hear it.

Absolutely stupid that the guy that gets thrown at TWICE on back to back pitches at his head gets ejected. He never charged the mound or threw a punch. Alomar gets ejected for what? Telling the umpire to get Johnson out of the game? Ridiculous. Pinella out there shoving people around should have been ejected, too. Why is he allowed to put his hands on players?

There would be a simple means of stopping the "bench clearing" issue. If a player is not in the lineup and steps onto the field, they are sent to the locker room.

Someone had to have commented on the "drunk with Indians" quote, right? Right or Left, that probably would not be uttered today. Shame about losing the Indians name. I total side note, when I was a kid, in the woods in the back of my house there were two huge boulders which were used for launching pads for rope swings. Indian Rock was the bigger boulder had the bigger swing. Cowboy Rock was the smaller. Not sure what that means other than we thought Indians were cooler people. It was the 70s.
