Oooh, Kevin! You haven't read Graeber. Dooood, when you can, sir, make the time. You likely won't regret it. Graeber was really smart but didn't really write like an academic. He could turn a good phrase, was sitty, and sometimes really hilarious. Sooo much of the stuff that he speaks about in general would appeal to you as "Daddy Greenpill," with a lot of stuff in Debt, the First 5k Yearrs and The Dawn of Everything has a lot of stuff that informs the Coordi-Nation movement. Srsly, it would really surprise me if you didn't get a real kick out of Graeber.

I really love this set of topics and your guests are amazing. My big question is how to shift the biases. Right now the capital is starting out in the hands of a fairly elite group (of which I am a part). Even with all of these wonderful projects, given who is deciding to allocate capital, it seems the inequality is insurmountable. I'd be interested in hearing speakers on that topic.

Hell yeah, it sounds like a breath of fresh air. Collaboration and coordination are definitely the future, the smaller parts of the whole already know how to work their individual efforts so well, that combining those efforts sounds quintessential.

The solution is find a goal everyone can share. The only goal that everyone can share is one that improves everyone equally. Therefore our goal must be to meet everyone's psychological and physical needs UNCONDITIONALLY with decentralized citizen led altruistic networks. It has to be unconditionally because if there are conditions we will once again all be fighting to the death to decide what those conditions are, to decide who gets their needs met and who doesn't. The other way to achieve the same result is to show people that practically everyone will become a benefit to society if their psychological and physical needs are met and absolutely everyone will become a burden or a danger to society if their needs aren't met because they will develop pathologies. Human needs are finite, definable scientifically and without them anyone will develop pathologies. That is how we define a human need scientifically. You can radically improve the world by raising awareness left and right with any means you have. We got this! Another achievable goal that will give lasting tangible results is getting 100 people in your area to join an altruistic network such as Sharebay

I think Bitcoin is kinda boring because it's not programmable. I don't hold any BTC. Regardless, that shit talk about BTC wasn't fair. Regurgitating the same media line about the negative electricity/environmental impact of BTC mining wasn't fair either. While the Bitcoin Network's PoW electricity use IS quantifiably substantial, the average mining operation is getting REALLY clever about efficiency. Those people REALLY care about their electrical usage because every last watt is negative hit to their bottom line.

Michel Bauwens also uses that term "cosmo-localism" and in pretty much the same way.

Graeber talked a lot about community currencies in his Debt book. This has been a cool episode so far. :)
