Railfanning In Villa Park And La Fox
That Amtrak train reminds me of the time I lost in among Us. 😢
Nice!
You should revisit this diamond if u can
It has been a while hasn’t it, maybe I will go back soon
That’s a lot of EMD!!!!!!
Just a hunch but that might be a bcol unit 😮😮😬🤯
Um actually it is a BNSF
Nice
What do you think of Gevos?
The Tier 4 GEVOs are the worst engines running on mainlines right now lol, just trashy in general
Just discovered this gem of a channel! New sub!
Ahh thank you, I have quite a variety of content so feel free to check out my other videos as well
Pretty cool
Real life subway surfers
THE TRAIN BLOCKED THE STREET LIGHT 😡😡👎
Yes well, that is not the railroad’s fault lol
what is that siren for?
I’m not sure actually what it’s original purpose was, but now they hardly use it except for alerting drivers or pedestrians it seems
ive seen those in work before and let me tell u that K5LLA horn is a damn beast
Oh gosh
Some people don’t drive very smartly do they lol
@@UPRailfan Yep
I see train
18A
BOOOOOOO!!!
Weird looking gevo isn’t it
Pfft not my fault you weren’t there lol
@@UPRailfan lol at least I still saw it in Hampshire
Nice smoke show
😮
I like that the audio from the trains stayed with the music, it sounds cool
🇺🇸👍👍
😏
🐺
I need a Metra
What am I supposed to say to that lol
@@UPRailfan "I do too" 🤣
I do too
@@elmhurst-railfanning that's the correct answer
Don’t think I’ve ever seen cars crunch up on a crossing like that before. Always nerve wracking to see someone try to beat a train deliberately, too.
Safest crossing in America 🐺
Why didn't the gates close?
There was another train that passed previously so the gates went up and then back down again but people were impatient and crunched up against each other
yea this double crossing never seemed like a good design
Yeah the town doesn’t have enough money to fix it lol
I was there
IWT
There was no lack of foamers there today lol
Train: toot toot Me: fart fart
good to hear horns
🍕
🥤
There's more UP power when the one and only UP Railfan shows up. I wonder why 🤔
🤔
At 13:30 the engineer throws a bag of trash out the window for whatever reason haha
What do you mean that was obviously a gift to you
@@TheCSSrailfanwhen he threw it out the window I thought it was till I picked it up lol
Nice video. Is BNSF only freight trains?
Yeah BNSF only runs freight trains, it’s Metra and Amtrak that run the passenger trains
Great video of all these canadian pacific airline planes!
Great video. Nice catch of the NS 1068. Is that a MoPac heritage unit?
MoPac, that makes no sense. I see it is an Erie heritage unit. But the UP has a MoPac heritage unit, right?
@@josephcipar3666yes, up 1982 is the mopac unit
@@RailfanDon ok, thanks. I hope I see it one day.
Terrible video
Bros intro is longer than the actual video 💀
Facts 🤣
@@RailBrothersProductions😏
This was just a little filler video, I'll have some big compilations coming out soon
@@UPRailfan Yeah but a whole ass intro for just a ~30 second train clip 💀
@@mxderate Pfft had I known people would care this much I would have just posted the clip itself
The decision by Canadian National (CN) to scrap the GE Illinois Central (IC) C40-8W locomotives, affectionately known as the "Blue Devil," has sparked disappointment and outcry among railfans and enthusiasts alike. These iconic locomotives hold significant historical and cultural value within the railway community, making their preservation essential. Scrapping these locomotives represents a loss not only of tangible assets but also of heritage and nostalgia that resonates deeply with railfans worldwide. The GE IC C40-8W locomotives have a rich history, having served with distinction under various railroad companies, including Conrail and Illinois Central, before being acquired by CN. These locomotives played a vital role in shaping North America's railroad landscape, hauling freight across vast distances and navigating diverse terrains. As symbols of American railroading, the Blue Devils evoke a sense of nostalgia for enthusiasts who fondly remember the golden age of rail travel. Railfans are passionate about preserving locomotives like the GE IC C40-8W because they serve as living artifacts, offering tangible connections to the past. These locomotives represent a bygone era of railroading, characterized by iconic designs and powerful engineering. For many enthusiasts, seeing these locomotives in operation is akin to witnessing history come to life, evoking feelings of admiration and reverence for the ingenuity and craftsmanship of earlier generations. Moreover, the GE IC C40-8W locomotives hold aesthetic appeal for railfans, with their distinctive blue and white livery and iconic design features. These locomotives are not merely machines but symbols of artistic expression and industrial design, capturing the imagination of enthusiasts with their striking appearance and timeless allure. Preserving these locomotives allows future generations to appreciate their beauty and significance, fostering a deeper appreciation for railroad history and culture. Beyond their historical and aesthetic value, the GE IC C40-8W locomotives also serve as educational tools, offering insights into the evolution of locomotive technology and design. Studying these locomotives provides valuable lessons in engineering, mechanics, and industrial development, enriching the learning experience for enthusiasts, historians, and students alike. By preserving these locomotives, we ensure that their legacy endures as a source of knowledge and inspiration for future generations. Furthermore, preserving the GE IC C40-8W locomotives aligns with broader efforts to promote sustainability and environmental stewardship in the railroad industry. Instead of scrapping these locomotives and contributing to waste and pollution, CN could explore alternatives such as refurbishment, repurposing, or donation to museums and heritage railways. By extending the lifespan of these locomotives, we reduce the environmental impact of manufacturing new equipment and preserve valuable resources for future use. The decision to scrap the GE IC C40-8W locomotives highlights the need for greater recognition and preservation of railroad heritage. These locomotives are not just pieces of machinery but symbols of human ingenuity, perseverance, and innovation. By protecting and celebrating our railroad heritage, we honor the contributions of past generations and inspire future endeavors in rail transportation. In conclusion, the decision by Canadian National to scrap the GE Illinois Central C40-8W "Blue Devil" locomotives represents a missed opportunity to preserve and celebrate an important piece of railroad history. These locomotives hold significant cultural, historical, and aesthetic value for railfans and enthusiasts, serving as tangible connections to the past and sources of inspiration for the future. Instead of consigning them to the scrapyard, we should work to ensure the preservation and appreciation of these iconic locomotives for generations to come
General Electric (GE) stands out as a leader in locomotive manufacturing, surpassing Electro Motive Diesel (EMD) in several key aspects. First and foremost, GE's locomotives boast superior innovation and technology. Moreover, GE's commitment to safety sets it apart from EMD. Safety is paramount in the design and production of GE locomotives, reflecting the company's dedication to protecting both railway personnel and the communities through which trains operate. GE integrates state-of-the-art safety features into its locomotives, including advanced collision avoidance systems, automated braking systems, and improved crashworthiness designs. These safety measures not only reduce the risk of accidents but also mitigate the severity of potential incidents, underscoring GE's unwavering emphasis on passenger and crew safety. Furthermore, GE's global reach and extensive experience in diverse markets give it a competitive edge over EMD. With a presence in over 180 countries, GE leverages its expansive network to tailor locomotive solutions to meet the specific needs of different regions and rail operators. This adaptability allows GE to deliver locomotives that excel in various environments, from rugged freight corridors to urban passenger networks, providing unmatched versatility and performance. In addition to technological prowess, GE's customer-centric approach distinguishes it as a preferred locomotive manufacturer. GE collaborates closely with its clients to understand their operational requirements, offering customized solutions and comprehensive support services. Whether it's optimizing fleet management, providing training programs, or offering aftermarket support, GE prioritizes customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships, ensuring that its locomotives deliver value throughout their lifecycle. Another area where GE outshines EMD is in sustainability and environmental responsibility. GE's locomotives incorporate eco-friendly features such as reduced emissions, energy-efficient systems, and recyclable materials. By prioritizing sustainability, GE not only helps its customers comply with increasingly stringent regulations but also contributes to a greener future for the rail industry and the planet as a whole. In conclusion, General Electric's dominance in locomotive manufacturing stems from its superior technological innovation, unwavering commitment to safety, global presence, customer-centric approach, and dedication to sustainability. These factors collectively position GE as the preferred choice for rail operators seeking reliable, efficient, and safe locomotive solutions, setting it apart from competitors like Electro Motive Diesel
