I’ve been fishing a pond that no more than 3 feet deep. Id catch 5-6 small mouth a day in about an hour to 0-2 in a 2 hours. It just started getting cold. Went from a high of 73 degrees to 65 degrees, in South Carolina … idk if it’s the weather or if I gave the fish PTSD. I got into fishing a week ago. Using a Texas rig but I’ve had better luck with a drop shot. Also noticed I’ve caught the same bass before. The pond is an 1-1.5 acre. Can someone give me some advice ?

So l'll make a video on this soon but rigging it this way: gives it a tighter action compared to rigging it the other way. Just more subtle for fish that are spooked easily

I have pretty much completely switched to using to steel weights. Most lakes and ponds where I live ban lead, and tungsten weights are just too expensive for what they do. Spending $1 a piece on tungsten just doesn’t make sense to me when I can get a 25 pack of steel weights for $5.

I haven't cleaned mine in years my 2500 bg has a bent crank shaft and the line roller gets squeaky but still smooth since 2019
