Bucket List Hunt - Dan and Jason head to Kodiak Island Alaska to hunt with Big Wild Outfitters and guide Clay Roberts. Dan was able to harvest a huge bodied billy with his rifle on the 2nd day of the hunt. Weather was colder than usual, so spike camping on the mountain was not an option. We would have to make the hike to the top of the mountain (and further than expected) to locate a shooter bi...

After Dan's successful deer hunt we witnessed a young billy goat fall through the ice in the bay. We got to him as quickly as possible as he was certainly close to death. Clay Roberts from Big Wild Outfitters pulled him into the boat. We then headed back to basecamp to warm him up by the fire. Ended with him running off back in to the mountains! Unbelievable that we were able to be a part of th...

2021 Spring Bear hunting adventure. Dan, Josh, and Jason head west on their first Spring Bear Hunt. Weather conditions were a challenge. 5 straight days of rain and snow seemed to slow the bear movement. We finally spotted a bear on the last day with only 15 minutes of day light left. Another great adventure and many memories made.

@@RackVisionsOutdoors your welcome!
Great outfitter I have been fortunate to hunt several times with him.
Yes he is! Clay is a hard guy to keep up with on the mountain!! Dan has been on a few hunts with him now. I was able to tag along on 2 of them.
Well earned, congratulations
Great video. Hunter seemed almost depressed, so if that does not get you excited, nothing will.
It was a grueling, physical effort leading to that day. Relief is the word I would use. thanks for watching.
“Big Dreams - Wild Adventures”
Thanks for watching! It was a wild adventure for sure!
Nice video. Great pictures of Arizona scenery.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching and for the comment. Hoping to get back out to Arizona this coming January.
He'll have to cross that ice to get back home. If he falls in again he's just having a really bad day.
Great video, solo hunts are a great way to test yourself and your love of hunting. What units did you hunt? Heading out there in a couple weeks
Coues hunting is tough! Hit multiple units within driving distance of Tucson. Good luck!
What unit were you in ?
That’s hunting thanks for sharing next time show more hunting gear!
Best part was they didn’t have to pack him very far when they shot him the next day.
😂. We were the last hunters for them that year. We all flew out the next day and almost didn’t get out due to nasty weather. Thanks for watching!
Hello! We have a RUclips channel and would like to know if we could use some of your content from this video.

awesome rescue
It was pretty crazy! Still can’t believe that happened! Thanks for watching.
wow what an epic adventure great footage and unbelieveale scenery, sliding down those slopes and climbing blindly through that snow had to be pretty scary at time , beautiful goat congratulations , we miss so much by not following our dreams , glad you bit the bullet and got it done and fullfilled a dream,
It was an epic adventure, and you are right about blindly climbing through the boulder fields. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment.
Awesome job guys! Congrats
Thanks for watching and for the comment!!
Awesome thanks for posting
You bet! Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!
You don't see this very often on RUclips today, that someone saved somebody's life. Much appreciate it, all you guys, really. 👏👍 You guys put lotta hard word to do a right thing. One thing got me wondering though. How come that goat didn't sink before you got to it, because it seemed to be so frozen it couldn't move even a bit?
Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment! We watched him fall through the ice and knew we only had a little time before he was gone. He was just able to kick every so often I guess to keep his head up. It was a pretty cool and rewarding moment for sure.
@@RackVisionsOutdoors Yeah, I see. It makes sense. One lucky goat, bet he won't ever find himself on thin ice again... Thanks for the reply, really nice channel, glad I found it. Keep it up! 👍
Do you remember the dates of your hunt? I'm just trying to get my timing right. Nice video, thanks for sharing!
Our first day to hunt was May 13th. Thanks for watching!!
Hey guys! I believe I met you all on the trail before you headed up on the second spot! Just want to say it was really cool stumbling across this video and thought you guys did a great job putting it all together!
Hey there do you remember the dates you were up there. I'm just trying to get my timing right.
No way! That is pretty cool. Were you the one packing out the bear? Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
Two 20 yard gut shots, “I was playing the wind” you don’t play the wind at 20 yards. Deer sitting there suffering cause you can’t guys can’t make a chip shot while you yell around is about expected for an outfitter hunter
Thanks for watching!
Unbelievable with you guys and that goat, good job!
Thanks! It was a cool experience and a memory that I’ll not soon forget. Thanks is for watching!!
I have been hunting, photographing and writing published articles, covers (and now a book) on hunting for fifty years. I watch a LOT of hunting videos, and this is truly one of the most epic hunts I have ever seen. I climbed New Zealand's mountains to score Chamois & Tahr, so I know just how gut busting those climbs are, how that freezing air hits your diaphram & makes to feel like an asthmatic. Hats off to the photographer too. You captured the sheer terror of those snowy tops. I could hear you silently screaming to yourself, "What the hell have I got myself into - I didn't sign up to die falling off a cliff!". Respect & props from this 73 year old Ozzie guys. i thought I'd seen everything Kodiak Island could produce. How wrong I was. Like I said... epic!
Wow! Thank you so much for your comment!! Really means a lot, and glad you enjoyed it. Epic is a great way to describe this adventure for sure. Would love to check out your book. Thanks again for watching.
I must be on LEFT field of mars this is the worst video and sound I have seen _ grab your remounts this will scare your kids bad
Thanks for watching!
The goat acted like it wanted back inside the cabin. Lol
I think so as well!! He was enjoying the warm fire and leg massages. 😝 It was a pretty cool experience! Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment.
Thanks for taking us along. I had forgot how challenging the terrain and weather is for goat hunting. Great video
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Sounds like you know first hand how difficult the terrain can be. Then add in snow and ice, wow! It was an adventure for sure!!
@@RackVisionsOutdoors I am 64 years old but still very active. You will remember that adventure for along time. When I was in my 20s I built a 50 cal Hawlken black powder rifle and got draw 2 times about 3 years apart. I hiked to the 7,000 ft level tied everything to me and shimied the ledges and glaciers but I didn't have fresh snow to deal with like you did. It was very steep , the lighting and storm ran me off the tops of the mountains on one trip. I got 2 goats but boy you earn them. Thanks again for your video
Wow! Sounds like an unbelievable adventure!! Thanks for sharing that. We are starting to realize that the more difficult the hunt the more memorable it sometimes is.
@@RackVisionsOutdoors Agreed. I lost 42 lbs on a 5 week trip to the Brooks Range. Won't be forgetting that anytime soon. Take your suspenders.
I love the hunting but one thing please stop that stupid music and whispering especially with wind in the mike. Put something on the Mike to stop the wind noise. Good hunt. Good bucks us old guys love the hunt . But hate that music and not hear what is going on. I wish i could go hunting with you. It is pretty hard to get on a big buck when bow hunting. Good shooting. Sometimes they know you are there but they weight untell the last minute to react..they don't want to get up in less they need to. Keep hunting enjoy that good meat. Set a plate for me. Mmmmmmgood
Thank you so much for the feedback! We are always looking for ways to improve. We do have deadcats (wind muffs) on all our cameras. The wind that day was gusting to 40 mph. Not much we could do. After posting the video we did see we had made a mistake on the audio. Thanks again for watching! Go check out our latest video. I hope we have improved on audio and editing. Enjoy!
Excellent work fellas! Great job on putting the video together, A+++!! Congrats on a gorgeous billy!!
Thank you so much for your feedback and for watching. Just uploaded the 2nd part which was Dan’s Sitka Blacktail Hunt! We finished off the hunt with a good buck and a Mtn Goat Rescue!! It was quite the adventure.
@@RackVisionsOutdoors I will be checking it out tonight!! 🍻
Wow what an awesome hunt and awesome adventure! Good job brother
Yes it was! Thanks for watching man.
UNREAL! Way to go Dan, what an amazing looking experience, so happy you guys got to do that! Can't imagine the challenge of trying to film in that terrain, great job and awesome video Looper (nice stache too)!
It was an amazing adventure for sure. Thanks for watching and for the comment. Terrain was definitely challenging as you know. Can’t go on an adventure without my stache! 😆
Great video!! Awesome hunt!!
It was an unbelievable trip for sure!!
What's with the ear piece? Pretending to be special ops?
Lol! Well it was a special day with the both guys being able to harvest deer like that! Thanks for watching.

Love it bro!!!! Awesome hunt an adventure even if it didn’t pay off at the end. Beautiful country!!!
It was a great adventure. Weather was a little frustrating, but that’s just part of it. Thanks for watching man!
Great video, wish you guys had better luck with the weather.
It was tough going with the weather. It’s just one of those things you have no control over. The snow did give us some great views though. Thanks for watching!
Awesome deer camp. Just subbed. Good luck this season from our deer camp to yours!!
just doesn't seem right to shoot a deer with velvet... just doesn't seem ready
Thanks for watching and the comment. This buck was really closing to shedding his velvet, but he was definitely a mature buck. His body was huge!!
Look at that hottie! ❤️
Thanks wife!
The first part where the pictures were changing was way too fast.
Thanks for the comment. That was by design.
Well it seemed like a dream hunt. I'm 67 and don't know when, but I'm sure some day I won't be up to it anymore. For now though, my llamas are ready to pack.
None of them felt af thing, they didn't spook, they hardly responded to being hit 😳 what were you using ? Great video guys 💪
NAP Spitfire 100gr. Thanks for watching and the comment!
Only way I take care of my deer. Never drag another deer. Have done moose elk mule and whitetail deer this way.
I agree. I’ve just recently started doing it this way. It’s a lot cleaner and like you said, don’t have to drag them. Thanks for the comment. We would really appreciate a subscribe if you haven’t already!
