Bill Patrick Interviews Cutman Al Gavin - Part 1
I loved listening to Giants games with Jim Gordon. He's a legend.
The best there ever was at calling the giants. I miss him. Imagine him calling Super Bowl 42 and 46. Or the interception that sent Dallas home. When they hit the game winning kick in green bay in 07’ I was hearing Gordon like against the niners saying GOOD GOOD! ahhh rip to a wonderful man and announcer.
RIP Al 🥊
He was mickey ward cut man.
The definitive ‘acoustic’ version of this song IMO. You won’t find an acoustic version anywhere else on RUclips that has the trombone. The trombone both distinctively and memorably paints the Chicago soul over a bare bones version of this wonderful song. This is my favourite rendition
110% Dav! I learned this one
i was impress when lou delvalle fought Roy JONES.He stop a real bad cut on LOU delvalle.
The salt of the earth, he represented everything that is good in boxing.
Bob Jackson and Al Gavin took me under there wing in the early 80s at the Gramercy Gym. The care and compassion they demonstrated to so many underprivileged kids is something that someone should make a movie about. They represented the best of the great sport of boxing and the New York community as a whole. The salt of the earth!!!
This song has long being one of my favorites. I happen to know New York that large beautiful City where one can always find a Bank open at any hour and which has great restaurants too. I like the rythm and the song is clearly American.
First coment !
Monday night football will never be the same..R.I.P Frank
THANKS MR. GIFFORD.
RIP Frank Gifford.
It is Lamm's song, and in fact I think his vocals work nicely. Lyric baritone voice. One of Chicago's underrated hits
Jim Gordon was a great radio announcer for the Giants . Much better then Bob Papa
Absolutely!! Had that gruff, new york accent to match. While Papa always tried to be more cerebral.
Great tune by Robert Lamm & Chicago.
send it !!!
Actually Robert Lamm is singing in this version.
Class act.
? ok
not moles
i know your post is old but what would you call them then?
Dalls Cowboys #6 overall draft pick ! ! Yee !
...not a very good version...!...where isb Peter Cetera?
Lol. If you actually watch the video though, it's pretty hilariously bad.
oh thought this was gonna be gow
this isnt Geras off Waras?... any way i think Tommy Lee Jones played the voice of Chairman Richard Presscott. i been playin alot of versus.
Wait...this isin't Gears of War!
it took me 1 min and 21 sek till i noticed he isn´t talking about gears ....^^
@musicmakesmesmile101 i wouldnt even call them moles
Gears of war kind of lead me to this video but its weird because I'm also a fan of Seinfeld.
@MegaKiddyLand Reply to myself Michael Gough is!
Michael Cough is the voice of all the carmines I think!
says so much about a person to go out of their way to post negative bullshit about someone they think actually gives a fuck. @mike02302 nobody cares what you look like, you're not Mark Sanchez.
At least you didn't get rickrolled, lol
@EcLypTiCxHawk I was being facetious. And i live in a city called Issaquah.
WTF is Seinfeld?
@keirshead so did i
@mike02302 i still love himm:)
@mike02302 ummm. ok its not acne, their moles and things that he was born with, and i think it makes him look cute:) marks a hottie, dont hate
Is this a joke? Must a beautiful song like this be degraded by these fools?
hello cutie
Parcells my favorite coach ever, was too good to sign autographs...At least Romeo crennel had love for the fans...
unfortunately LT was not there, But phil simms gets a huge pat on his back, he stayed as long as possible signing autographs. biggest line also.
Finally a live version from the chocolate album, more simple than the one from the chocolate album ('X'), minus the steel drums, complete horns, and upbeat arrangement with Peter's vocals. I would like to have imagined if Lee and Walter joined Jimmy on the horns in this version.
i love it...!!!
felicidades, especialmente a Jimy Pankow
A pretty good version of this song. I'm surprised Jason Scheff didn't sing this one as he can hit the higher notes. RL is great, just not well suited to this song.
Always felt it was one of Chicago's finer songs.
Stink version...
only person close to decon is Gino Marchetti.
