Dear Listener, This piece of music is played by a musician named Agni Verma so he only will be able to answer your questions precisely. However all the musicians before performing or doing riyaz remember their Guru (s). And depending on their Gharanas, musicians or Shishyas (Disciples) also remember Goddess Saraswati before commencing their Riyaz or performances. And most importantly practicing of Indian classical music or any form of classical music with Indian roots is actually a "Saadhna". I hope your question has been answered satisfactorily. How mesmerising is this music. In 1990, I went to a school concert with a colleague of mine. A schoolgirl about 15 years old played Raaj Jog on a bamboo flute; the flute was about her height. A boy at the same age followed with a thabla. The whole concert hole was like deep in meditation. I am glad I found this on Ytube.
