私の祖父は日中戦争に行きました。彼は人間好きであり現地の人と仲良くやっていたと母からは聞いていましたが私には戦争の 様子を話すことはなかったですし小さい頃の自分も興味は薄く自分から聞きはしませんでした。個人レベルでうまくやっていけてたとしても中国人からみれば所詮は侵略者、敵軍の兵士であり日本兵を憎む人がいても当然のことでしょう。いずれにせよ祖父から詳細を聞けなかったことは今となっては後悔しています 動画は日清戦争のものですがあの当時も日本兵の捕虜がひどい状態で発見されたとかいう話もあります。日本兵に対する憎しみは相当なものだったはずですし日中戦争もおそらくは同様のことがあったかもしれません そしてそれを見た日本兵も中国兵に対する憎しみへとつながるわけですね 今現在も互いに不信感を抱いてるからこそ積極的に解りあおうとしないといけないと思います 憎しみはどこかで絶たないとキリがありませんから でもご先祖様の日記にはどのような憎しみが綴られていたのか…私には想像もできませんがそれはとても大事な日記になるはずです。真実を知る一端になるかもしれませんからね

The idea that the Japanese military was pure and innocent is an illusion, and is as ridiculous as the old idea that the German Wehrmacht committed few war crimes compared to the Waffen-SS.
