ANYONE WONDERING ABOUT ONLINE. as of right now, SZ online DOES work on steam deck, however it's not fully functional and has some limitations linux can only play with other linux users and windows can only play with windows users. i was able to get the "connected rivals" achievement exclusively on deck. Both/all players should have the engine.ini fix on, matching fps locks, for things to work. (have to be private lobbies, matchmaking doesnt work so needless to say no ranked :/)

From what I've seen, TSR Low is faster and looks better.

It's best to run the game in dx11, you'll gain more fps

I don't understand why my game is 25 fps

For the noobs, get decky loader then install the non-steam launchers. Watch his guide on how to install decky loader, it's easy.

I Heard that playing on FSR 1 gives better performance numbers.

I got to the install portion and everytime i left the page it wouldnt show the launchers installed. I check compatibility layers and restarted. Too hard haha.

This game only works on a Windows 11 Steam Deck using unofficial modded GPU drivers runs out of vram unless using Steam OS

This is just a poorly optimized game in general. Hopefully SE fixes it with patches but I'm doubtful given Square's history with PC ports.

Personally I could not play it on my deck, really choppy. I tried playing it with my 3070 though and had similar performance to my steam deck (low settings and everything). So still impressed by how it feels on the steam deck, but upgraded to a 4080 super for this game.

Best settings in my opinion are leaving the preset on "steam deck" and locking the game at 30fps.

oh dude this is great news. After patch 2.0 2077 has been very difficult to run on the SD, I think this is good enough to pick it up again on handheld

Is there a way to show the Epic games in Steam Library without having to open the launcher?

You didnt show how you got the games to show on your non steam catagory. I have prince of persia on ubisoft but i dont know how to add shortcut in gaming mode like you have.

Thanks for the video, I'm certainly gonna give this game a try. It's a shame what happened with Dragon's Dogma on the deck, I was afraid the same could happen here. Not exactly related to the video, but: is there a way to reduce the dithering on hair in games?

I was able to get 60 FPS on SD by using cryoutilities, UMA to 4GB, FSR w/ Frame Gen, and resolution size to 45-50. Also, Tex quality to med and post processing to med(maybe, forget if I turned it back off.). 59-60 fps is achievable.

So my Steam Deck plays all Valve games perfectly but other games seem to always crash even “verified” titles seem to crash. Is there a setting I need to change on my Deck?

My solution is just not playing any launcher games until devs decided to remove them then I’ll reconsider

Less than 2 minutes in and I'm lost. Sorry but all the jargon talk and mentioning many other apps and things a beginner doesn't understand makes it really confusing! Please can you make a step by step guide that starts from the beginning, that beginners can understand?

The only upgrade I need to worry about for my lcd deck is the internal storage to 1-2tb. Better battery and smaller bezels would be nice but you can make the screen similar to the oled with decky tools. Aside from that performance is almost identical

After I did this. I shut my Deck down for the night. The next day I turned it on and all my Non Steam games disappeared from my library. I tried restarting Steam, restarting the Deck and nothing.

Just ordered Lcd upgraded 1TB.

Hi I’m looking to play Spider-Man’ remastered on my OLED SD . I want to lock it at 60 FPS on medium settings on FSR 3 do I need to mess around with manual GPU clock to achieve this at all? Thanks
