This video was made to primarily demonstrate the blanket braid. There are a number of ways to finish off the ends - the neatest way is to use thread rather than elastic so that the ends can be hidden completely and wrapped neatly. We have plenty of videos at www.dreadlocks.com.au.

Hi Nicole. Yep. It's a little trickier to get a bigger hole but you can definitely still do it with the latch hook and this will then allow you to pull a section of your own hair through the hole. Our How To Make Dreadlocks video will show you the backcombing and crochet method we use to make dreadlocks and extensions. Just leave both ends undreaded and wispy to make them double ended.

Usually a week or two. If installed really well and your own hair tends to be a bit more textured versus soft a silky, you might get a bit longer but the longer your hair is the longer you can wear temporary dreadlocks.
