EVERY LEADER IN THE GERMAN ARMY/MILITARY, WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE WAR....WERE GUILTY OF SUPPORTING HITLER UNCONDITIONALLY. There were a number of Military Leaders who retired because the WOULD NOT support Hitler. Even Col. Stauffenberg, and Others, for a while, served Hitler. When Germany started to lose the War..... some defected to The Opposition.

Nobody ever acknowledges that the Germans had broken the British codes, and Rommel was able to read their orders on a daily basis. Yes he was intelligent enough to use the information he had. But then the British broke the German codes, changed their own and Rommel got his arse kicked all the way out of North Africa. Too much is attributed to his "genius" and completely ignores the Intelligence war.

After the war started, and the American army retreated to Batann it was found out that MacArthur had put all the supplies in places that were easily run over by the Japanese army. They were decimated and forced on the Bataan death march.
