Winter Bike Ride and a bad dog almost ruined it.
We got about 7-9 inches of snow last Thursday night. By Sunday, a lot of it was melted but there was still plenty left. Most of the roads were clear and it was 45 degrees so I headed out for a short ride. It was almost ruined by a small dog who took offense.

Dave Outdoors does the 2024 Fall Square to Square Bentonville to Fayetteville bike ride

This was my 6th Square to Square bike ride in NW Arkansas. It's just under 30 miles from Bentonville to Fayetteville. I accidentally hit the zoom function on the back of my action cam so gone are the nice wide shots I like. Instead, I'm zoomed in and sometimes it appears I'm about to hit the person in front when I'm not really that close.
My first bike ride on the Arkansas River Trail Little Rock

I was in town for an event so I brought my bike for a spin on the Arkansas River Trail. It was my first time and I loved it. There’s a lot of construction which caused some detour confusion but it was well worth the effort.

Did this beautiful hike in the spring and never got it uploaded. It's one of my favorite short hikes with a beautiful payoff at the end with Devil's Canyon Jr Falls. Near Mulberry, AR. Shot entirely with my Insta360 Ace Pro.....even the long exposure shots.

We had a great time viewing the 4/8/24 Total Eclipse from near Mansfield in Western Arkansas. We had mostly clear skies and a little over 3 minutes of totality. The best part about it was our reactions. You need to watch the entire vid. Camera - Canon 6D Lens - Sigma 150 - 600 shot at 400mm Intervalometer triggering the camera every 2 minutes. Yeah that little dog went after you.
Very well done! Love this video.
Looks like AI.
@@sizzleotg9011 you look like AI
Reckon you have never been there, I have, and this video represents 100% of what it looks and sounds like at Sequoyah NWR this time of the year.
@@MiaMcPherson thanks for your kind comments. Never mind that comment above. That’s my youngest son just messing around.
@@daveoutdoors4949 LOLOL Sounds like something my youngest son might do!
You can go up ft roots if you want to add climbing and several spurs to add distance. Glad you enjoyed our river trail!!
Thanks for posting this, I live in northeast Arkansas and have been wanting to ride this trail.
You're welcome! I really enjoyed it and want to go back.
Love the Chiefs jersey. What a trip. I love the intro.
Glad you riding real bikes....not wimpy ebikes
@@BlackSheep883-d7n I’m 65 and it’s still 100% leg power for me.
@@daveoutdoors4949 that's great !!
Dude, great vid but get a deadcat for your mic. The wind noise is very annoying. Again fun vid, thanx.
@@philo5096 thank you. As a matter of fact I ordered one yesterday.
Get some subtitles on this vid! Can’t understand y’all.
Someday I’ll go visit the capital building in Missouri. The architecture is pretty nice.
I'm going to ride it tomorrow.
Enjoy it and be careful. There are a lot of street crossings.
Awesome ride. It’s so cool you got to do that together.
@@jasontheoldmillennial7197 it absolutely was
This video is awesome! I’m doing the ride for the first time this year and your vid has me even more excited.
Thank you! I’ll be there also.
Are they good during dry spells?
I would say not. Almost all waterfalls in Arkansas dry up after 10 days or less of no rain.
Sensational.
Breathtaking.
Great stuff as always Dave Nice Job
Thank you!
Awesome vid. Looked like a great day to be in the woods. All that damp, lush greenery.
Thank you, sir. It was outstanding. I've been there several times because it's so close to home.
There’s no place on earth as beautiful as the White Mountains!
Congrats! I am coming this year.
I hope it went well
All the weather apps were saying rain, so like an idiot, I didn't go. It turned out to be a beautiful day. On the following Friday, I rode 65 miles on the greenway from Bella Vista to Fayetteville and then back to Bella Vista.
It was an incredibly beautiful day. Thanks for your comment.
WHHAAAATTTTT
That was a really cool video.
Thanks, Jason. To paraphrase something I heard last week: Seeing an eclipse is like finding a quarter on the sidewalk. Seeing a Total Eclipse is like winning the lottery.
very nice, I just subscribe.😀
Thank you!
great video!
Thanks!
I watched this building be torn down, I went past it everyday. It's sad to see it go.
Thanks for watching
Nice pics, excellent
Thank you, Dave!

Nice looking place, have a great day, excellent video. New friend here.
Thank you, Dave,
Great Christmas lights and a perfect time of the day to start your photos and video. Thanks.
This is way cooler at 2x and the music works at that speed too
Nicely done.
Nice ride thanks for taking us along ❤

Great photos! I enjoyed how you presented them as well. Hope you take lots of great ones in 2024
Thank you!
Great photos. Loved the the mountain reflecting off of the water.
Thank you, Jason. Echo lake, New Hampshire.
Great photos Dave. Thanks for sharing. I was a photographer for about 20 years except I photographed people. My favorite is the gravel road with the beautiful sky.
Thank you. Wife and I were out late looking for Short-eared owls. I’m pretty sure it was 1 year ago today. Rural Crawford county, Arkansas.
So nice seeing the whole family together. Cool lights as well.
It was awesome!
I was under the impression that this would be a time lapse.
And you are incorrect 😂😂
Awesome! Dark side of the wiener! Haha. Also you may want to film in the daylight next time, the video was a little dark. Just a helpful tip 😉
It was dark because it was dark
Very cool!
It was a blast!
Congrats!
Thanks Jason!
I love the ride down memory lane.
Thanks Jason
Sometimes your music choice…hmmm…mute. But your videos are super fun to watch. Maybe we can ride together sometime.
Hi Dave, is that a group that you go hiking with? I’d be interested in finding out more if possible.
Fort Smith has a hiking group (Trailblazers) I’ve gone with maybe 10 times. Russellville (Takahik) has a hiking group I’ve gone with maybe 35 times. The Fort Smith strictly does trail hiking. The Russellville group mainly does bushwhacking.
Always love your bike rides Dave.
Thanks 👍

Thanks for looking and commenting. Cool drone video.
Cool ride. It’s great you can travel in bike lanes and don’t have to travel on major streets.
Yes. About 90% is bike path and only 3-4 miles is street riding in a bike lane.
congratulations, and great film making... especially love the time lapse across the bridge. i kept pausing the video looking for myself lol. hope the race went well for him!
Thank you!
Amazing and beautiful. God is quite the artist. More good work from Dave.
I was a long tunnel but well worth the hike down. Unique rock formations.
