Very nice. What method is used to regulate the tension on the blade. I see most use acme thread with springs others with hydraulic cylinder also with springs. I'm confused about what you use. Hope you can help me understand before I pull the trigger and buy the plans. Thank you.

This set of plans has been great to build with. I have never welded or built anything with steel these plans make me look like I know what I am doing. I am almost ready to start cutting some wood just need to do an alignment and put a blade on. Just need a day or 2 without snow and cold.Thanks Ben for all your help

I got the plans which are very detailed but one aspect no one really mentions is at what width you should move up to 25” band wheels. I’ve got 2 white oaks available that are 48-54 inches in diameter but I only expect to be milling 36” and below. A guide on these changes would be great, but what I’ve gathered from cooks is that bigger is always better

Is there an easy way to find out if my local machine shop can handle this? I use them for square tubing and they mainly build trailer frames. Would the lathe be the only part that might not be present?

What is different about the 2023 plans? Another video comments that the plans were about 200 pages, but I see mention of about 60 pages. I also see of a sawmill 1 and sawmill 2. Would you clarify the differences please?

These plans have proven to be incredibly helpful for my construction project. Despite having no prior experience in welding or working with steel, these plans have made me appear knowledgeable and skilled. I'm on the verge of beginning the wood cutting phase; all that's left is to perform an alignment and install a blade. Just waiting for a day or two without snow and cold.
