@@jxbxrri I suggest doing the aerial kikosho after the second air stomp because you have a longer window to input the commands. After the third air stomp, you have to buffer the input or input it extremely fast once it connects. It’s like a sec to a half a second window. Hopefully that wasn’t too technical 😣

You are correct, that would be one way to optimize damage. There’s so many possibles to maximize damage with Chun, plus I love combos with Chun Li.

I had that combo down months ago but I think they messed with the timing in a patch or something. Now I have the same problem and sometimes just do air lightning legs instead. But one punch you're not missing much damage. Just frustration.

@@jrg305 no you miss the chance to cancel into super after the second hit. So now I need to do a whole new route if I want to use meter after it.

If you're talking about the safe jump setup then this vid has a pretty good breakdown of the timing(s). Are you asking to set the safe jump up or after the opponent is getting up? Cause I do 2mk into HK or another stomp depending on the situation. If it’s to set it up, I usually delay it about 1 to half a second before I use HP to set it up. It’s important that both HP connects to make it easier but if one just connects, your timing on the safe jump is different.

Absolutely correct, the more hits performed in a combo, the more the damage is scaled. You can still achieve high damaging combos, just have to know what to use. For example, the combo at the end of the video showcases just that too. SA1 is great to use as a reversal and combo ender because of the setups that can follow up after. How often do you find you have to replace controllers playing SF6? I'm on my second Dualsense since launch. I have had such bad luck with controllers this gen.

@@OnlyMePhoenix I've been playing since the game came out but I work full time so I only get like an hour or two a day which makes it hard to learn but if I'm being honest like 100 ish hours which is a lot lol but I loved putting in the work. I assume you're also master rank too? Because you look like you're better than me

Absolutely! I had to un-train myself then, re-train myself to on doing more than the basic bnb. It is still a process but I’m having so much fun and am just starting to master the higher damaging combos. Thanks as always 🙏🏾

@@OnlyMePhoenix yeah I took a break from the game I have played a lot of the cast and funnily enough Marisa was the one I got to Plat. So I was playing her a lot but I just couldn't leave my girl Chun behind so I started training and finally got her to Plat 2 which is my highest now. I feel like if I can start doing a bit more damage I can climb a bit higher.

I also need to work on some matchup knowledge. I still have 0 idea what to do vs Jamie. That is my worst matchup in the game. That little goof seems like every move is + and you never get a turn. Anyway I'll keep watching these on repeat and report back when I've made some progress lol.

This one is something I’m still trying to master myself but I’ve learned that if you land two air stomp into heavy HPx2, if the last one connects, it sets you up for a safe jump. From there you can choose to go anywhere, air stomp mix up, grabs, fireball mixups, etc. I hope that helps

I don't play chun myself, but word on the street is that the trick is to do the first stomp immediately, delay the second one until opponent starts falling, and then just mash out the HPs. That shoudl get you all 4 hits and teh safejump

Congratulations!!! Being Diamond 3 is impressive itself. My Neutral game tips would be to learn how to watch and react to the opponent’s movement. From my experience as I go up in rank and fighting Master players, I’ve discovered that most players play based off of spacing and their defensive options. Don’t chase unless you have too and I do land a hit, I try and maximize it into a high damaging combo. MixUps and SetUps are important too but most are waiting for you to make a mistake. I hope that helps.

It allows you too combo into other moves and does more damage. It’s also meaty as well. If someone is waking up with random buttons, you can punish counter them with Hakkei. Also if you connect with a Drive Impact and let the opponent crumble for a second, it will juggle them. It just depends on your set up and what you want to do next. Hope that helped.
