Getting the FMB Phoenix, Mitering Band Saw ready for use. Pake Pallet Stacker. 440 Transformer.
Просмотров 219Месяц назад
Bought this FMB saw locally from a company that upgraded to a larger model. They must've really hosed it down well (no sign of chips anywhere) and put it away because it is stuck. Everything is stuck. I already disassembled, cleaned and lubed the vise. But now I had to pull the vise assembly because it was frozen to the mitering arm. It's made in Italy and uses a 440 V, two speed motor so the b...
I'm a closet guitarist. Original songs, that you'll be some of the first to hear. Heavy Metal style.

I've played guitar on and off since high school, took lessons here or there was in a band for 5 minutes and played some open mic nights 15 years ago. I feel fortunate to come up with interesting riffs that at the least entertain myself. No more than 2 other people have heard these songs before. Ibanez guitar through a Fender practice amp with no pedals. Sorry the sound isn't better but you know...
I'm back. Demonstrate the Acra CNC Knee Mill and MillPwr to make a bracket. Everything's a Project
Просмотров 1172 месяца назад
The mill has been down for a while so I'm a little rusty on the programing, but we work through making a bracket that requires two bolt holes and an arch tool path. It came out nice and everything fit. Once again, I ran out of disc space just prior to completing. I'll be doing more of these because there's not many videos out there using the Accurite MillPwr control which I think is super handy...

Boring!
I bought a new scotchman 280 mitering saw, almost identical to this one it seems. I’m so disappointed with it. I also regret getting it single speed for the convenience of running the 220. I hope you make an updated video of it running
@@arthurbarrios888 that's too bad that the Scotchman was disappointing. It should've been a good one. This saw is great as far as cutting but the swivel is still frozen up big time. I'm currently trying to free up space in the shop so there's room for the camera tripod.
W°W, thatz one nasty dude!! Hate to think how he would speak to a dissatisfied customer he disagreed with!! Guys who can't control their anger are best detoured around. 😶
@@fattyfat-fat6639 I do control my anger extremely well. I consciously use profanity to emphasize stupidity. I have talked to disgruntled customers who've screamed and even threatened without raising my voice or swearing.
Hey I heard you mention something about a metal working group...... I've been wanting to be part of or start a hobby machinery group where I live in Brevard county florida. Any ideas how to find one or get one started
@@mikefinnegan4621 heard about ours when I bought my shaper from an old timer. I see him at the annual swap meet. Good times. It's very popular here with retired guys, not sure if that would help.
HELL YEAH DUDE GO CRUSH THAT OPEN MIC 🤘

I wish I would lived near you so I could have a buddy to jam with and post some stuff, if possible.

Very nice video
My vacumaid pro only lasted a yr keeps shorting out not even a year
@@rushyplays1678 I think they have a healthy warranty, don't they? I've used mine almost daily for more than 8 years and I suck up a lot of metal with it.
Total crap....the camera waving about makes me motion sick.....Im outta here.
hi. im about to inherit a hardinge like yours. any chance you could send me the dimensions? length, depth and hight. i know they weigh about 770kgs. good video.
@@stuartsurkitt2585 length is 63", depth 28" and height 54". 1950 HLV
I agree. The manufacturing team are morons. Should have a drain tap.
I am quite interested in your idea of using a second surface grinder as a cutoff machine. Shops, especially small shops, which i have downsized to about a quarter of the space i used to occupy, are all about capability, and floor space. Every square inch of floor space has to be rationalized. Double duty for a surface grinder is an excellent idea i think. Thin curf cutoff 8" wheel, you have extraction and i have coolant capability. And being three phase on a VFD, maybe a carbide wet saw blade reducing the RPM? Obviously the arrangement of the table and cutting does not lend itself to a lot of cutting jobs. But the machine... mine is a manual Brown & Sharp 6 x 12 , it could be quite handy for some tasks... especially where close tolerances are desired. Thank you for the tour.
annoying sing song verbal diatribe
I care about Abum.
Trump Tower Moscow! Talk about Deff, Dumb, and Blindly Deceived!
Yup, private investment in an open market is terrible but starting a war and killing a million people just so government cronies can make $ on loans for reconstruction, yay. You do know that Russia was a partner with us in our Space Program and nearly every American business had a presence there, right? Prior to Biden's instigated war of course.
Well said dude.
Nice work sir
Nice vid. I use inkscape.
Cool Stuff Dave
They never make it easy. That would take common sense. They charge extra for that! I know the struggle all too well. 😂
Max use of available space.
When we quit making mistakes we have quit doing anything. Thanks for video.
Lookin good Dave, have fun with your new toy.
Very nice work sir
Why so much extension on the tailstock?
Clear the carriage with compound at 29-1/2* to prove that the end could be threaded with nothing special. On my Hardinge, I have to use an MT2xMT2 extension to do the same. On the PM, the tailstock is 3" diameter with 6" travel. It was also locked.
Do you ever watch your own videos? Wanna get a lot of viewers? Stop with the umm's and ahh's every other word. Work on your video personality. Also, we come for the machining, 20 minutes of talk makes the video hard to watch.
Cool project. I made a similar shelf set up for my lathe tool holders. Made it on my cnc plasma table.
Very nicely to see this I do love make one for my shop but my place never found belt that is my problem
No one cares about Abum 79.
Nice looking lathe and a beast. I just purchased the 1440 and I have been terribly disappointed in PM's support. I was told they have the best of customer service and I have found just the opposite. I hope this lasts you a long time. They do have a good warranty.
*_Like the machines. I have a round tuit but I have to keep it, only one I got. if I send it to you then I'll never get anything done._* 😆🤣
Pekerjaan satu profesi, 👍👍👍
Usually always like your videos. But this one was hard to watch because of tv noise.
My apologies, I forgot to shut it off then I was concerned for copyright infringement. Thank you for hanging in there.
Beautiful machine. Thanks
I couldnt watch it with shaky cam sorry.
Thanks for hanging on til then. I didn't have a place to set the camera down. I'm working on getting things cleaned up.
Just got a 5C scroll chuck for my little lathe, and a nice set of metric collets. The 5C seem to be popular and a safer option to work up close with. Stoked on your new lathe mate👍👌🇦🇺
Nice shop mate👍👌🇦🇺
Thanks 👍

Glad you are back to making videos. Excited to see the PM lathe. I have been pondering buying the 16x40. Really could use a 16x54. I sold my monarch 16cw. Wish I hadnt😢
